Review: About 3 weeks ago, on August 18, 2015 I went to Phd salon to get my hair done. I showed the owner and only stylist there what I wanted. I explained to her that I work in the healthcare field and cannot have bold hair. She made my hair white and did not do anything I asked. The process of changing my hair took about three hours. She applied bleach to my whole head and let it sit on my head for about two hours. A portion of that time it was spent under the heat. My hair was not only white, but completely damaged. I am very lucky my hair didn't break off. She charged me $120 for the minimal amount of work that she did. Before I left she asked if I liked it. I told her "no it's a shock and I would like you to put in low lights to balance out the color". She basically told me "no" and "wait to see what people say". I knew she had no intention of fixing it so I went to a different salon and got my hair fixed (another $80). And one spent $65 or so on hair products to fix it. I have picture of the small chemical burns on my head from the prolonged bleach use. I called her the next day to ask for a refund of some kind. She said "yes I can give you a partial refund but can I call you back?" I gave her my phone number. Over the course of two weeks, I tried calling her establishment four times and sending the salon Facebook messages. I received no call back or no response. I finally got a hold of her on September 3,2015. I asked her if she had thought about the refund. She said "I have thought about it and I am not going to give you the refund because you broke our agreement". We never signed or made an agreement. I then told her that I had scalp tenderness and soreness for three days after going to her salon and she replied with "I do this all the time to people." After repeating she was not going to give me a refund, I told her "that is ok but I will be sure to tell my friends and family not to come to your establishment". She ended the conversation with "I already have a clientele. I don't need you. Bye. " and hung up. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and poor customer service.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the full amount of $120 back or, ideally more. Due to getting small chemical burns on my scalp and spending extra money on getting my hair fixed and buying products to help fix the damage that she did to my hair. In total, I spent $275 and would like to be reimbursed.
