Review: Phenix Salon Suites advertised new, salon suite rentals in Charlotte, NC beginning in May 2015. I placed a deposit of $250 for a space with an anticipated move-in date of end of June or early July at the latest. Construction has not gone as planned and the suites have no estimated time frame for when they will be ready. The deposit that was classified as non-refundable did not state if we have no opening date and can not provide you a place to work, you still can't have it back. The property manager has not included us in all communications and I've had to gather info from others who have suites reserved. Others were given the option to have the security deposit returned due to the fact that they have no date available for when they will be open. The practices of the property manager have not been consistent and fair to all and I'm not sure as to why some would be given the option and not all. I reached out to the property manager in an attempt to settle this matter, who in turn told me they have no date for opening and the deposit is non-refundable. This is not standard business practice. They have breached their end of the deal by not being able to provide the space in a timely manner. Only providing the excuse that construction is unpredictable.Desired Settlement: $250 security deposit
