 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I have attached the original receipt/estimate that shows that the motorcycle arrived at Philadelphia Cycle Center on 16 December and that I requested the work on 19 December. I also attached the stub of the insurance check I received that proves they were not waiting three weeks for me to receive funds, as it is dated 17 December. I also attached the final receipt that displays the date I received my motorcycle, 27 February. This was exactly ten weeks after the the estimate was issued and the work order was placed. The attached information shows that their opening statement is false; a testament to what I experienced throughout the duration of the time I worked with them. They stated that the motorcycle was there for an additional four days after the month they allegedly waited for me to receive funds and come in to their shop. Aside from the documentation proving otherwise, that accounts for one month and four days. The other five weeks and three days have not been accounted for.
Pertaining to the rotor, I confirmed that I wanted the rotor powder coated. The fact that it did not get communicated between employees is no fault of mine. The towing fees were waived. However, the weather permitted me to ride my motorcycle back to my home on 15 February,  the day [redacted] informed me that I could pick it up. Shortly after he called to notify me of the leaking sight glass and stated that I would no longer be able to pick it up . In regard to the towing fee to the shop, I would much rather have paid the pick-up fee and had my bike than wait weeks upon weeks and have nothing.
As I stated before, I do not feel that I should be forced to pay for the cost of labor. If [redacted] Sr. is satisfied with the work of his employees, then he should pay them. I feel that I should not be forced to pay for unsatisfactory services. Their mission statement goes as follows, "Philadelphia Cycle Center's mission is to operate a profitable motorcycle dealership while providing our customers with the best possible service, whether it be in parts, sales, or service. Our first concern is that our customers have a completely positive experience." Throughout the duration of this process I do not believe I received their best possible service, nor did I have a completely positive experience.
Regards,
[redacted]

[redacted] covers a month of his vehicle being here.  We completed the repair work after which he requested additional work be done which then added 4 additional days to time that his vehicle was here.  While **. Review: I requested their services in an attempt to fix collision damages and complete minute customization endeavors on my black 2006 [redacted]. The motorcycle was presented to them on the 16th of December. I called to briefly halt operations to handpick and describe what I wanted completed in detail; this was completed on the 19th of December. I conveyed to [redacted] of the service department that the following tasks needed to be accomplished: replaced right lower and mid-fairing, brake lever, and bar end. Furthermore, I requested that the stator cover, forks and brake calipers be powder coated gloss black, rear foot pegs mounts be removed and the rear sets be replaced with aftermarket rear sets. Before departure on the 19th I was assured that it would take two weeks to have all of the parts powder coated and back in hand. Moreover, leading to a fully operational motorcycle ready for my desired taste three weeks after that date, January 2nd. [redacted] also affirmed that I would receive a phone call one the parts were "back in his hands".

After numerous calls and many brief conversations, one of which I was told by [redacted] that they have, "More bikes than just mine to work on," I began to become frustrated. I took it upon myself to call once more and was told that my bike was completed and [redacted] enthusiastically conveyed that I should come check it out. When I arrived I was taken to the back to find both the mid and lower right fairing still not mounted, brake cords dangling, the rear pegs still mounted, and only the front set of calipers powder coated. Here it is about five weeks later, after being promised three weeks tops, and I arrived only to see my bike nowhere near par. Based on the way the situation was going I deciphered that it wasn't going to be completed anytime soon, I stated that I wanted everything gold or silver on the bike to be powder coated gloss black to complete the color scheme. I also mentioned again that I want the rear peg mounts to be removed. [redacted] and I travel to the front to get the price of the additional work and he stated that it would be $225 more than the original $2000 promised. Note, this is the price including the rear calipers that were already supposed to be powder coated.

Following another two week window and a few more upsetting phone calls, I paid a visit to their facility on the fifth of February to try and get to the foundation of the issue and receive a firm completion date. All I got was an attitude from [redacted]. Slow talking as if it were all so simple and I was just as simple myself. After becoming fed up and conveying my disgust he finally called whoever coordinates jobs with the outside agency used to powder coat items. A few moments later, he received a return phone call and then conveyed to me that the parts would be back and put on that upcoming Friday and he would call to coordinate reception arrangements then.

I called again the Wednesday following the Friday I was supposed to receive a phone call from [redacted] to speak with someone higher up the chain. After [redacted]'s firmly toned, "Here [redacted], this guy really wants his bike back." When [redacted] Jr. answered the phone I tried to explain the situation thoroughly. I was continuously halted by his over-talking method. He even stated that, "He didn't know I wanted it back so quickly because it isn't the riding season." I suppose riding season is a predicate for reasonable service in the motorcycle world. He then concluded that he would pick up the parts from their outside agency himself and have the bike completed in exactly one week. Another long week rolled around and to my surprise I didn't receive the promised phone call. I called, Saturday February 22nd and [redacted] stated that he could have the parts put on if I promised I would be able to pick t up that day before closing. My wife and I rushed to the car and were on our way when we received a phone call from [redacted]. He conveyed that the pickup wasn't possible because the oil sight gas was leaking. He "compensated' me by offering free delivery on the following Monday. Note, I wouldn't need the free towing if the bike would've been completed that day. It was warm enough to ride it home myself. I called back to see what time it would be delivered on Monday and the truth surfaced. [redacted] Jr. stated that he couldn't promise delivery on that date. Moving further up the chain, I asked to speak to the General Manager. [redacted] Sr. answered the phone and ensured that he would get to the foundation of the issue, have the bike ready by upcoming Monday and further compensate me if possible. He called after every step as promised and compensated me by lowering the price of some of the parts used in the job. I went to pay the tab that Monday, but asked to see the bike before doing so. When they pulled it out some of the promised services hadn't been completed. The front rotor was still gold and so was the left engine cover. Seeing my disgust, [redacted] Sr. stated that he would have everything completed by Wednesday, February 26th. I opted to pay the tab since I was already there and I have to pay a $5 toll every time I make the commute. Here it is, Wednesday morning. I called to see exactly when it would be delivered because I have to report for duty today. [redacted] Sr. assured that it won't be ready until tonight, at the earliest.

It has been almost ten and a half weeks and I haven't received completion of services that were only supposed to take three. I attempted to convince myself that I would simply chalk this experience up as a learning one and move on, but this is far too unacceptable to be swept under the rug.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a billing readjustment that compels Philadelphia Cycle Center to pay their own labor cost. I don't feel that I should be forced to pay for the lack of services I received.

Note: The date of the first issue and date of purchase are switched. The website wouldn't allow me to move further before doing so. The date of the initial issue is January 2, 2014. The date of Purchase is February 24, 2014.
