THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS! Cognizant of my duty to state facts accurately here, I wanted to share my experience with Phil Liberatore, the .."IRS problem solver". I heard about Phil on KKLA, a station I love to listen to. I was told I have to pay $250 for consultation, which I agreed to. At our meeting, I presented Phil with my entire QuickBooks financial records on a flash drive. He informed me that my tax returns would be $2000. In addition he stated if I want him to open my QuickBooks file to review my expenses it would be an additional $750. In that I have always paid substantially less to have my tax returns done, I mentioned that the extra charge to review the QuickBooks may be excessive. Not to mention that it had always been my experience that part of preparing tax returns is reviewing my QuickBooks files. In response he offered a generous "$50" discount. No problem. In that I was under an urgent time crunch, I agreed. When I came in to sign my returns Phil informed (and assured) me of the total amount I owed on my tax returns and then left the office. Minutes later another employee came in and said I owe an additional $10,000. Minutes later her supervisor came in and told me I owe approximately an additional $20,000. Feeling very frustrated I asked to speak to Mr. Liberatore directly. He did not (or would not) come back into the office. The next day a gracious member of his staff called me to explain the mistake that Phil made. I once again requested that Mr. Liberatore call me directly. Instead of calling me and stating that "I made a mistake", he instructed his staff to refund me the money and send me back my file, leaving me in a quandary with my deadlines that he was fully aware of. I urge all out there to thoroughly investigate the businesses they are dealing with. Not everyone that advertises on Christian radio operates and bases their business on Christian convictions. My personal experience with Mr. Liberatore's office is one of greed and unprofessionalism. CHRISTIANS BEWARE!
