We signed a contract with Houston's Auction Barn on December 16, 2014, At that time our contact left with suitcases of various coins with an estimated value of $12, In March, employees of Houston's Action Barn made several trips to my deceased father-in-law's home and picked up truckloads of glassware, antiques and collectibles No accounting of the items picked up was provided, as our contact said would be done Our contract says that an accounting of each auction will be sent, along with the net proceeds of the auction within days of the auction I know that the value of the items taken was in the thousands of dollars We have witnesses, but no documentation We attended a coin auction on April 12, It took many requests, but we did receive an accounting of that auction approximately months later We have not received any additional reports and have not received any money as of this date I have many emails and texts with excuses and promises I now know that I can't believe anything they say I would never recommend this business to anyone

We have had issues with this customer since we accepted him as a consignorWe have copies of cashed checks for this consignor as wellAttached please find a copy of the last payment to him to the address he provided, he did move and stated they will forward itWe also have copies of texts and emails that are not flattering to him as well

This account has been settled with Ms [redacted] She had a check mailed to her on 2-9-and cashed it on 2-13-at *** Bank The check number was [redacted] I can not scan it from my office but will scan and send via email this weekend

I keep going by the new location to pick up my check, bins and items that did not sell I still have not received a checkExcuses, excuses, excusesHe just does not respond at allDo NOT send your items here unless you want to take a big loss in the value and don't care if you get paidWill probably need to hire an attorney to get this settled

Regards, ** ALthough I do not know what is in that letter, ( I presume it is what I have been after) that was an old address.
Houston's Auction Barn has since been given the correct addressPerhaps it would not be too much trouble to post it to the new addressIf that simple task can be accomplished in the next few days, I believe the problem will be resolved, and hopefully all parties concerned will be content .

Our experience with Vern at Houston's Auction Barn has been an absolute nightmare. When we first contracted with Vern to sell our household goods, he had weeks to come pick up the furniture in the house and miscellaneous items in the garage. After numerous excuses, he finally picked the final load just hours before we closed on the house. And of course they loaded up a few items that were not supposed to go.
Now that our items have 99% been sold, he has been promising a final accounting and check since February 3rd! If you see oak book shelves in his pictures, those are ours that he just can't seem to sell but sure does get good use out of them. Maybe we could rent them to him?

We have had issues with this customer since we accepted him as a consignor.

Our contract says that an accounting of each auction will be sent, along with the net proceeds of the auction within 10 days of the auction. I know that the value of the items taken was in the thousands of dollars. We have witnesses, but no documentation. We attended a coin auction on April 12, 2015. It took many requests, but we did receive an accounting of that auction approximately 6 months later. We have not received any additional reports and have not received any money as of this date. I have many emails and texts with excuses and promises. I now know that I can't believe anything they say. I would never recommend this business to anyone.

I have attended the auctions At 1960 and been happy. If he says he will guarantee something he does.
