Good Afternoon [redacted] I’m contacting you regarding Ca [redacted] and her Chevrolet Sonic [redacted] The customer originally brought her Sonic in for an oil change and recall in October 7TH of at 35,miThe technician performed all services and left some residual oil on the exhaust system causing there to be some smoke from under the hood but never caused an overheating concernWhen Mrs [redacted] called that day to inform us of the issue we sent a driver to her house to pick up her vehicle immediately for inspection and a complete detail cleaning She returned on October 14th stating there was still some oil smell present and it was cleaned once againOn December 31st at 40,miles Mrs [redacted] returned stating that her Sonic was running hotWe diagnosed the issue for her at no charge being that her Bumper to bumper warranty expired at 36,milesShe was instructed at that time she needed to replace the cooling fans but she declined the repairs even at a discounted rate Mrs [redacted] returned on February 10th for an oil change and tire rotation and did not mention any issues of her Sonic running hotOnce Mrs [redacted] started this claim in July of I reached out to here regarding the situation to see what I could do to helpI was able to get her almost $1,worth of repairs performed on the cooling fan system for an out of pocket cost of $with the help of the assistance I applied for with ChevroletThose repairs were completed on July 12th at 51,miand to my knowledge there are no current issues with her SonicThe residual oil from her repair which caused the smoke on 10/7/did not cause any issues with her cooling system and was simply a component failureI truly feel this Revdex.com claim has no justification as we here at Phillips Chevrolet went above and beyond to help a customer that was well outside her warrantyPlease contact me directly if you need further information regarding this caseThanks and enjoy the rest of your day!
