"In response to *** *** complaint #***, I, *** *** bodyshop manager of Park Falls Auto Body (a division of Phillips Ford) feel we have done most anything the customer requested, including providing a similiar car free of charge, even after he refused the repairs. After the initial breakdown we towed his car, checked it over and refilled the coolant and per his request we brought it to a shop of his choice (Fifield) which also inspected and oked it for his use. When the car broke down again, we reinspected it and towed it to Phillips Ford, where they found the problem. We offered to take it to a Toyota dealer of his choice and towed it to Ashland Toyota (about miles away) where they verified that the head gasket or head was damaged. At that time,(July 14th) the customer refused repair. As of Aug12, the customer has agreed to have it repaired. We feel we are trying to fix this problem correctly."

"We feel terrible that this mistake occurred. We have been in business for over years and never had this happen. We wanted to handle this in the best possible way so we asked the customer where to have it repaired as we are a Ford dealer and he owns a Toyota. At that time, I turned it over to our Insurance Company and started a claim. I have talked with *** ***, (the customer) many times and have apologized and told him I understand his frustration. We are working with *** to keep him happy."

Review: I requested some body repair work to be done on a 2011 Toyota Corolla by Park Falls Auto Body, who is owned by Phillips Ford, after my car had been damaged by hitting a deer. Upon completion of the repairs I took the car on a small 2 hour trip for the weekend leaving on a Friday. On the way back from the trip (Sunday) the car broke down due to overheating. Upon inspecting what may have happened it was concluded that the body shop employee forgot to re-install the hose clamp on the main radiator hose going from the radiator to the engine. I contacted Park Falls Auto Body the following day about the misfortune in which I had to leave the car about 10 miles out of Hayward, WI which is about an hour from my home. Park Falls Auto Body towed the car back on that Monday to be checked out by Fifield Auto Werks in Fifield, WI. It was determined by Fifield Auto Werks and the manger of Park Falls Auto Body that the car was fine and was not overheating which I totally disagreed with but the manager of Park Falls Auto Body would not do anything else for me at that point. On Wednesday of that week I planned to take the car on another small one hour trip and I did not get 5 miles down the road and the car was again overheating. I immediately took it back to Park Falls Auto Body. The manger told me to leave the car and he would drop off a loaner at my place of work in the morning which he did do. The car is now taken to Phillips Ford for evaluation by their service shop of the possible overheating damage. I was told by Phillips Ford that they don't want to go any further due to it is a Toyota and should be checked out by a certified Toyota dealer. The car was take to Ashland Toyota/Honda. The results are a blown head gasket and a warped head within the engine. The owner of Phillips Ford said they would repair the damages at no charge. I don't want or deserve a repaired engine because I didn't do the damage to my car, the employee of Park Falls Auto Body (which is owned by Phillips Ford) admitted to making the mistake that ruined my engine. I have a $12,000 investment that was damaged due to negligence.Desired Settlement: I would like a brand new engine installed at no charge or a comparable car from Phillips Ford with a Car Fax and full engine warranty. I DO NOT WANT OR DESERVE A REPAIRED ENGINE!!!
