Review: Phillips Law Center was negotiating a new mortgage at a lower interest rate with the lender for about a year. They asked for a $3400 fee up front to start the claim. Communication was fine until they received a letter from Chase that we did not qualify for a new mortgage. We were frustrated with the whole process, but thought we could try again. We repeatedly tried to contact the last person we spoke to, but he would not return any emails or messages. After this, we tried to send a fax to Phillips Law requesting our money to be returned, as we were told this would happen if they could not negotiate any kind of deal. At this point they refused to return several messages, emails and a faxed letter requesting our money out of escrow.Desired Settlement: We would like our $3400 back, as Phillips Law had explained that they would only keep the money if they negotiated a deal. We would also like an explanation as to why we were ignored with repeated attempts to contact them.

Review: Solicited by mail by LHG, promised to modify (reduce) our mortgagepayments by at least $500 per month. Put up a $3,000 deposit to gointo escrow. Process has drug out to 1 year now. Been informed they haveno business license, AND have an 'F' rating. Cannot contact LHG as all phone numbers are invalid.Desired Settlement: 1) want $3000 refunded asap.2) legal and criminal charges brought against LHG3) foreclosure proceedings by lender brought to a halt
