I was having a birthday party for my son, four of my nieces and a family friend on 8/24/13 that was supposed to start at 10 Am, they were supposed to have delivered the slide at 8 AM. At 10:35 when they still were not here I called, at which point I was advised their breaks had gone out on their truck but they were fixed and were on their way to my home. At 12:40 PM when they still had not arrived I called again and spoke with [redacted] at which time he advised that they would be here in 5 minutes and if they were not to call him back, I waited 15 minutes to call back and got no answer, now mind you my eight year old son was standing at the top of my driveway watching and waiting for them, all of the other children were asking where they were as well. I kept trying to call and never got an answer at 1:45 PM I received a call from the delivery person [redacted] who was completely rude and hung up on me. I tried to call him back because I thought my phone dropped the call but he did not answer. At this point I tried to call [redacted] back and he would not answer his phone the rest of the day. Finally at 3:32 I gave up. My son as well as my nieces [redacted] and [redacted] and family friend [redacted] were all very upset that they never showed up. The WHOLE BIRTHDAY PARTY WAS RUINED AS THAT WAS THE ONLY ENTERTAINMENT I HAD PLANNED!!!!! Half of the guest left because it was an outside party and it was very hot, the other half left shortly after that as well for the same reason.Product_Or_Service: WaterslideDesired SettlementI want them to write each of them an apology letter as well as plan and pay for them another birthday party. I also want all of the money I was out to be refunded I spent $300.00 on the food and drinks alone, not to mention the decorations, plates, cups & cutlery oh let's not forget the cake. Normally I would not ask for all of this but seeing the disappointment on all of their faces and not being able to do anything about it really infuriates me. If it were them they would expect the same. Business Response I did speak to [redacted] that morning and informed her that the guys had problems with their brakes. It took them a while due to them having to replace the brakes rotors also. I also received a call from [redacted] a few days later stating how disappointed she was and I informed her that I would deliver her a slide on a Sunday but she refused. I apologize to her and the entire party. I can offer her a slide at a discounted price on a Sunday or during the week.

Broken equipment, unsafe for my child. Very rude people. Not in time. Avoiding us.We reserved a waterslide for my 4yr olds birthday party weeks in advance. He was scheduled to be there at 10 am and got there at 8am. The extra 2 hours would have been awesome for my son but everyone was still in bed asleep. He got the slide blown up and it was the wrong one. I did not order that. It would have been ok but the first step was like 3ft from the bottom. And my 4 yr old COULD NOT get on it. I expressed my concern and he didn't care he preceded to load his stuff up leaving the horrible slide and my husband finally broke it down to him and with an attitude he took the slide down and went to get the right one. He didn't return until 12pm.. he brought the slide that I ordered and it was horrible. There was holes all in it, and the strps were not steps.. there were flat. It took my 4 yr old about 10 min to climb up it. Falling several times in the process. There was so many holes that it kept wanting to deflate.. my husband and dad actually had to repair one of the holes.. the guys were supposed to be there at 8pm to pick up. They never showed. They came first thing the next morning before 830 when everyone was asleep. They just came into my backyard without permission.. they did this so they could avoid us bc they knew the slide was terrible... they had no shame, they are a bunch of crooks.. Desired SettlementEveryone that was on the slide received small cuts and bruises. Several kids were too scared to play on it. Some kids couldn't even climb it. If they triec to they fell. One girl fell climbing the slide and busted her eye. We had to repair a hole so it would stay inflated. But we ended up turning it off bc it was useless. Then they came on my property eith my knowledge and avoiding us. I would love yo get my money back. $180. Bc that was the worst thing ever!Business Response This is my first time hearing anything about broken equipment and inappropriate behavior. Phillipwaterslide takes pride in being on time. We arrived 2 hours early to ensure that the equipment would be working properly prior to their engagement I have been in business for 9 yrs. I delivered the slide alone with one of my employees. I setup the front load slide and Mrs. [redacted] came out and stated that it was not the slide that she ordered. Mr. [redacted] stated that the slide was fine because my worker and I had to roll the slide into her back yard due to my wagon breaking. Mrs. [redacted] insisted to her husband that she wanted the other slide. We rolled the slide up and rolled it out of her backyard and made other stops and travel 27 miles to get another slide to replace the one she did not want. I am not aware of any holes that her husband had to repair. I never received a phone call about any issues. We came back the next morning just like we do with most customers who have late ending time. Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] never stated to us any displeasure with my merchandise or my behavior.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I tries to call them. No one ever called us to let us know what was going on either. It was very unprofessional. It is in no way my fault that you brought the wrong slide in the first place and then had to take it down and travel 27 miles to get the correct one.Final Business Response My phone records show that I never was contacted by Ms [redacted] Her husband knew that we were getting the slide the following morning and the gate was wide open. Why would I take away a good slide and bring a bad one? I will go above and beyond by offering her a discount on a future slide.
