Review: On October 22, 2015, I was in negotiations to purchase a vehicle with Phillipsburg/Easton Honda. I agreed to put down a $250 refundable deposit in order to hold the vehicle I was interested in for 48 hours. The salesman, Thomas M[redacted], had me sign a bunch of papers that I continually asked what they were. He assured me that I did not own the vehicle until I pulled off of the dealership lot. Also, I continued to ask that my wife, [redacted] and myself, credit score not be run until I gave them permission to run the score. I obtain alerts when my score is run and they did indeed run my score without my permission. Additionally, my wife and I both received a letter from a financial institution that our request for a loan was denied when we never agreed to purchase the vehicle in the first place. Thomas never called for my permission to run, the dealership ran both of our scores without permission.Desired Settlement: I want Phillipsburg/Easton Honda to call and repair both the hits on our credit scores. I do not want that denied claim on both of our credit scores as we both did not want our credit scores run.

Review: I would like to submit a complaint in reference to an incident that occurred this evening. My husband was working with one of the salesmen, [redacted] since yesterday on a deal. He went to the dealership today to discuss working out monthly payments that were comfortable for us. [redacted] became angry with my husband's requests and told my husband that he was [redacted] stupid" and a [redacted] waste of time". He then continued to run up to my husband's face as if he was going to punch him and then told my husband to "get the [redacted] out of here". Some other salesmen pulled him away from my husband and escorted him off of the sales floor while another salesman told my husband not to worry about it and that [redacted] is getting fired anyway". I am absolutely dumbfounded by the unprofessional and abrasive mannerism of the sales staff at PE Honda. Never in my life would I have expected a customer be treated in such a way. I will make sure that the community is aware of the way that PE Honda treats their customers. They should all be ashamed of themselves, I don't even know what else to say. What a complete disappointment. This isn't the first time I've done business with PE Honda and have always been skeptical of them, but I can guarantee I will NEVER do business with them again.Desired Settlement: I want this information publicly accessible. I also would like disciplinary action against the stated employee, up to and including discharge. I would like an explanation for the behavior of this employee and why he felt it was acceptable to behave in such a manner. I would also like an explanation as to why the other salesmen appeared to be acceptable of this behavior as well. I would like the President of PE Honda to be aware of the situation and I would like a letter of apology. I also would like my $250 deposit refunded immediately to my credit card.

It! In reference to ID. [redacted], the incident has been resolved to the customers satisfaction. They retracted there complaint from Dealer Rater. I think if you contact [redacted], they will verify the same.

Review: I was in negotiations to buy a vehicle from this dealership. The salesman Thomas M[redacted] was very pushy, even though I told him I was not ready to buy a vehicle. He told me I could put a $250 refundable deposit down to hold the vehicle for 48 hours. I decided not to go with that vehicle and told him to refund the deposit. I put deposit on my credit card and it was charged immediately. Eight days later I contacted dealership to find out why my credit card was not refunded. The woman from the dealership told me the salesman would give me a call to resolve. He has not called. I emailed dealership in hopes of a response and have not heard anything from them.

Also, during my time with salesman, I repeatedly asked not to run my credit score until I decided to purchase the vehicle. The dealership ran my credit score without my permission. The salesman also assured me that everything I was signing was not to be held against me. I did not feel comfortable signing all of the documents he was having me sign.Desired Settlement: I just want my $250 refundable deposit back.
