Philly Fuels, Inc. Reviews (6)

Our company did the "research" that we had stated that we wouldIn doing this research, we found that thecustomer's claim was non-factual and our response was in fact supported by our research. This customer had a large propane tank installed in January and went on automatic deliveryDue
toextremely low usage our company requested that we remove the large tank and replace it with a smaller tank.We replaced the gallon tank with a gallon tank on September 12,The customer signed an updatedcontract at this timeThe customer received a refund for the propane that was left in the large tank, minus thepropane they received in the small tankRefund check was issued on September 19,for $358-64.On March 23,2015, the customer requested a propane fill up, even though they were still on automatic deliveryand not due yetOn March 25, 2015, our company delivered gallons of propane, which filled the tankThecustomer paid forthe propane on March 30, via USPS.On September 23, 2015, our company attempted to make an automatic delivery to the customerThe drivercould not locate the tankThe regulator was there but the tank had been removedOur office attempted tonotify the customerWith no answer, a message was left on the voice mailThe message stating the tank wasmissing and to contact us ASAP(This phone number was verified to be correct during a later conversation withthe customer on 11/23/15)Then after no response, we billed the customer forthe tank.On November 23, we received a call from the customer stating their claimWe explained that ourcompany never received notification that they had moved, nor a request to pick up the tankAlso, once noticeis given by a customer that is vacating a residence, the tank is still the responsibility of the customer until PhiliyFuels resumes custody of the tank. Our research validated our initial claim and revoked the customer's complaint, therefore the bill.remained thesame. The customer's statement of the problem is non-factualIf they notified our company that they were movingnine months ago, why did theyrequest, receive and pay for propane during this nine months? Also, if they werenot intending to use the propane and assumed the tank had been picked up, why had they not contacted usrequesting a refund forthe credit that they would have received forthe propane that was still in the tank?If the customer is willing to file a police report regarding the theft of the propane tank and cooperate fully withthe police, Philiy Fuels is willing to reduce the amount of the billThe police report needs to be filedimmediately, as so much time has already passedThe exact serial number of the propane tank will need to bestated in the police filingThe customer can find this in their contract or Philiy Fuels can provide it for them

Mr*** was refunded $per gallon which is exactly what he paid a year ago for the gallons we picked upThe going rate has nothing to do with itHe was refunded the amount he paid. There is no retail establishment that would refund more than the price paid. We also credited his account for the rental fee. I don't know what else we can offer him. Sincerely Susan H***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Regards, *** *** Philly Fuels management payed for the propane in the tank .$a gallon , the going rate is $a gallon. If they want to change the rules as they go pay may me for what's mine.Show me where I signed anything about minimum usage or tank rentalThey kept referring to me as their valued customer what a crockMy new propane provider Glider Propane as no minimum usage rulesPhilly Fuels needs to pay up What makes them think they're so high and mighty. That's no way to run a business it may backfire

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I will file a police report. Please send me the serial number from the tank so I may complete this task.  I would like to know how much the bill will be reduced once I've filed the report, and also how I can notify you once I've filed the report, whether I should have the police contact you, or send a copy of the report, etc.
Regards,
[redacted]

This is the first notice I have received, In the future could you please mail a notice in addition to an e-mail.  First off 100 gallon tank is not the smallest.  It is however the size we install when the customer tells us they use it for their primary source of heat. We have only...

delivered 4 gallon in the last year. That is why there is a rental fee. He requested we pick up the tank because he refused to pay the rental. A refund check was generated the same day that we picked up the tank.  Check was dated 10/25/17 for $198.58 and was cashed on 10/27/17.  I clearly don't understand his complaint. Thanks, Susan

An order was placed on January 28th, 2014 for 45 Church Street by [redacted]. The order was placed for a fill up at [redacted] (Cafe) to be delivered the next day, January 29, 2014. The specific directions for the tank were given to us wrong and we delivered to the tank owned/handled by...

[redacted] Immediately after the delivery, the driver was informed by the cafe employees that we were given the directions to the wrong tank.
Our office immediately contacted [redacted] at [redacted] about the error on [redacted]'s part. She said that she did NOT have an issue with the delivery as they needed the fuel anyway. She had received kerosene and only required fuel oil, so in order to save [redacted] the expense of pumping out the kerosene, we agreed to charge [redacted] the fuel oil price. Therefore the price went from $4.559 (charge price) to $4.129 (charge price). The price for fuel oil on 1/29/2014 was $4.129 (charge price) and had been that price for numerous days .
[redacted] implied herself to us as the co-owner of [redacted]. She was and continues to be the only person that has contacted us regarding any issue with [redacted], including returned check issues. Until this incident this account and address had been receiving fuel from our company since 2007 with the ordering party being [redacted]
We also had contacted her numerous times about this bill and she repeatedly agreed that she owed it and stated that she would be paying it soon. [redacted] never disputed this liability being in her name until the charge got sent to collection.
