Review: We contracted Phil's Air Conditioning and Heating Corp. to install ductless air conditioning units in four rooms of our home. [redacted] subcontracted the work to Cold King. The installation was messy and incompetent. Within less than a month we had THREE leaks in the system which affected different units/rooms. Tubing outside the house was low quality and just left hanging. The outside unit was installed close to the dryer vent so that lint and dust collects in the outside unit, requiring regular cleaning and maintenance. This is our second summer with the units and we already spent several hundreds of dollars to add 2 pounds of coolant to an approximately 4 pound unit. When my husband called [redacted]'s business to fix this year's debacle, he said he was too busy and to call someone else. We believe there is yet another leak in the system but to diagnose the problem would cost several thousands of dollars and require us to tear down the sheet rock my husband put up to cover the incredibly ugly, large black air conditioning tubes. ([redacted] said the tubing was a lot smaller than it actual was.) Also worth noting is that [redacted] has a real problem dealing with women. Although my husband made the initial arrangements with [redacted], I was home to deal with him. He did not look me in the face and refused to acknowledge me, despite my many reminders that he was dealing with me, not "him" (what he kept referring to my husband as).Desired Settlement: [redacted] should pay for another, more responsible and reputable company, to diagnose the current problem and fix it. The units in the master bedroom and one of the smaller bedrooms do not run properly as both rooms are not cold.
