Phil's Trailer Sales

BUYER BEWARE- Customer Service is horrible. If I would have read the reviews before I bought my trailer I would have not bought it. Following up with anyone to get a response takes a while or multiple emails. Excuse after excuse for everything. Save yourself a headache and take your business elsewhere. If you don't, you cant say you haven't been warned.

Mr. [redacted] did purchase a trailer from us on 2-12-13. He did call concerned about his plates on 3-13-15. As of March 1st 2015 the state of [redacted]...

changed its policy dealing with registration of trailers. Most dealerships including car dealerships were under the impression that the change would only affect trailers purchased after that date. However, when we went to do the registration for Mr. [redacted] we were informed that we would have to change some of our paperwork and resubmit them. Because of this we were delayed longer than the 30 days on several trailers and were assessed a penalty on them through the state which we paid for. When Mr. [redacted] purchased his trailer he was given a temporary tag issued through the state database that was good for 60 days. The state does this so that the customer is covered just in cases like this. At no point was Mr. [redacted] not able to use the trailer based on the tags. As of the date of this Mr. [redacted] has his plates. Prior to his phone call regarding the plates Mr. [redacted] called us concerned about the size of this trailer and felt that it was too big for his motor home to pull. He talked with us and we told him that we could build him a smaller trailer and would take that trailer back. He left the phone conversation with he wanted to discuss with his wife to see what they wanted to do. The next time we hear from his is when he called regarding his plates which at that time he told us that he had sold the trailer and was rushing us because he needed the title to sell it. Mr. [redacted] bought the trailer on site after spending over an hour inspecting it, took the trailer home and then decided it was too big for him and is now trying to use the issue with the plates to return it. We told him during his first conversation with us that we would take the trailer back and get him a smaller one. Now that the trailer is registered with the state there is no way we can take the trailer back for a full refund. if he would like we can take it back at trade in value.

The only sticking point where communication with Mr. [redacted] fell through was his requirement of payment in certified funds.  I was willing to send him a check but was not going to jump through hoops to get a certified check for...

such a small amount.
