Per our conversation this afternoon, I am responding to the 2nd notice, as we did not receive the 1st, for complaint ID [redacted] Upon arrival, we asked the customer if he was dining in for one, or ordering to goHe, from the door, yelled he wanted to see the prices firstWe provided him a menu, after reviewing it, he was again asked if it would be dining in or to goThe customer ignored the question and he ordered at the counterBeing at the counter rather than having a seat, we assumed it would be a to go orderAfter announcing the to go order to the kitchen, the customer was very rude and yelled that he was dining inHe then began looking at our open date, which we have displayed on the counter, and yelling out that we did not open on that date, May 18, 2015, but rather that we must have just opened that day and began stating that we were liarsThe customer sat directly in front of the door, the third table from the counter and continued to yell out, in front of other customers, that he was just here and we weren't openHe did order general tso chicken (which is breaded), rice, and a soupThe customer received and ate all of his soupWhen asked how the soup was, the customer would not respondThe meal came out and was taken straight to the customerHe began eating his meal, and after a few minutes he was asked how it was; he again did not respondBeing straight in front of the counter, he was visible the entire timeHis drink was later refilled, he was asked again how his meal wasHe ignored the question and continued eatingAfter over half of his meal was consumed, the customer used the hoisin sauce that is provided on every table and covered his chicken with itShortly after doing so, he quit eating and the customer then grabbed his plate and began walking to the counterHe was informed that we would come to the table and take care of itHe returned to his table and was taken his checkOnce receiving his check, he then asked if he got chicken or porkHe was told chickenHe then began loudly stating that he knew it was porkThe customer was informed that dark meat chicken was used and that there are no dishes here with fried or breaded porkThe customer argued that he knew it was pork and would not pay for being trickedThe customer only had a few pieces of meat left and was asked if he minded us cutting into a piece to show what meat it wasHe agreedA random piece was cut into and chicken was insideWe explained to the customer the difference in white vs dark meat chicken as well as porkWe assured him that we do not even have breaded pork in the restaurant so there could not have been a mix upThe customer began yelling to other tables he was given porkThe customer was apologized to at the time for the misunderstanding and was asked to the counterAt the counter he continued yelling and began name callingHe then said he wasn't going to payThe customer was informed that since he did consume 90% of his meal, and was asked multiple times how things were we would not compensate his meal at this timeHe became even more upset and the berating intensified with more name calling and profanityHe then said he refused to payHe was told again, because the meal was consumed without complaint when asked if things were ok, he would need to payHe then threatened to call the police at which point we said we would be happy to call for himHe stated he wanted the police called, and we grabbed the phone to callBefore we could dial, he stated he would pay and leaveAt that point, the customer paid his bill, collected his belongings and left We do take customer complaints seriously, and would be more than happy to refund a mistake made on our part, or a dish that the customer did not consume due to dissatisfactionGiven the entire background of this situation, we do not feel a refund is in order at this timeWe are willing to show that the only breaded meat we do have prepared is white and dark meat chicken (dark meat for that particular dish) Please let us know if there is any other way we can assist you with this matter [redacted] Pho Bistro [redacted]

After over half of his meal was consumed, the customer used the hoisin sauce that is provided on every table and covered his chicken with it. Shortly after doing so, he quit eating and the customer then grabbed his plate and began walking to the counter. He was informed that we would come to the table and take care of it. He returned to his table and was taken his check. Once receiving his check, he then asked if he got chicken or pork. He was told chicken. He then began loudly stating that he knew it was pork. The customer was informed that dark meat chicken was used and that there are no dishes here with fried or breaded pork. The customer argued that he knew it was pork and would not pay for being tricked. The customer only had a few pieces of meat left and was asked if he minded us cutting into a piece to show what meat it was. He agreed. A random piece was cut into and chicken was inside. We explained to the customer the difference in white vs dark meat chicken as well as pork. We assured him that we do not even have breaded pork in the restaurant so there could not have been a mix up. The customer began yelling to other tables he was given pork. The customer was apologized to at the time for the misunderstanding and was asked to the counter. At the counter he continued yelling and began name calling. He then said he wasn't going to pay. The customer was informed that since he did consume 90% of his meal, and was asked multiple times how things were we would not compensate his meal at this time. He became even more upset and the berating intensified with more name calling and profanity. He then said he refused to pay. He was told again, because the meal was consumed without complaint when asked if things were ok, he would need to pay. He then threatened to call the police at which point we said we would be happy to call for him. He stated he wanted the police called, and we grabbed the phone to call. Before we could dial, he stated he would pay and leave. At that point, the customer paid his bill, collected his belongings and left.   We do take customer complaints seriously, and would be more than happy to refund a mistake made on our part, or a dish that the customer did not consume due to dissatisfaction. Given the entire background of this situation, we do not feel a refund is in order at this time.
