Phoenix Auto Body, Inc.

We took our Jeep to Phoenix Auto Body on the recommendation of our mechanic. It took over a week for them to complete the work, which I would not consider extensive. When we finally picked it up, the body work seemed fine (though I have not had a chance to look really closely yet) but the interior lights were on all the time and would not shut off. We found out when we got it home that they had reconnected the interior wiring incorrectly. The interior lights were connected to the headlight controls, and no door locks worked. We called them and left a message, but they had left for the day.
The next morning, they did not call back, so we gave them a call. The guy we spoke to not only denied that there was any problem without even asking to take another look at the vehicle, but he indicated that the technician had shown him the work when he finished, and he knew for a fact that the electrical wiring was connected correctly.
We had our mechanic contact them. Phoenix then called back and told us that our regular mechanic would fix it free of charge, which we assume means they have no idea how to fix it. Our part of this repair was $1000, and the insurance company paid the rest. How much would we have had to pay them for them to actually check their work? Shoddy work and a bad attitude is what we got. They are darned lucky we didn't put a stop order on the check.
