Review: Phoenix Auto also known as Matrix Funding, charged our account twice on two separate occasions (we had auto deduction set up). We got it corrected with them in June of 2013. In October 2013, they attempted it again, however, the bank had canceled my husbands ATM card due to fraud on his card. I had contacted Phoenix about this and was told I would receive a call back from their finance manager [redacted]. We never did and have been unable to contact them via phone, email and certified mail to get them payments. We have been in contact with the repo company, who has recently told us that [redacted], the owner, has received our checks that we certified, but won't cash them as she only accepts cash. She is still trying to pursue repossessing the truck, yet she does have payments in hand. [redacted] will NOT return phone calls, emails or has yet to respond to our certified letters and payments. The repo company has admitted that they have never seen a case like this where the company is avoiding the customer who is trying to get payments to them. We have also been requesting statements on our account to show where the payments have been applied sine our purchase in June 2012 and have yet to get this. We have requested this in the letters, via email and have left several voice mails in regards to this. No where does it state in the paperwork on out truck that cash payment is THE ONLY OPTION. They took charge and now won't our checks. They seem as though they don't want payments tracked. What are they truly doing with their customers payments and who is to say that they are applying it correctly? We are continuing to send monthly payments in certified form, however, I don't suggest doing business with them. I would love to get a statement on account so I can finance the vehicle through a legitimate company that knows how to communicate with their customers and that provides monthly statements as to where their payments have been applied. Also just for info only the Rocklin address is PMB.Desired Settlement: Would like them put out of business if they aren't operating their records correctly. Customers should be able to get statements when requested. I feel they are ripping people off and need to be stopped. I would like them to accept my payments in check form as they obviously can't properly account for electronic payments when they continued to charge my account twice every 4 months. I would like to be current with them and be able to get a response from someone at Phoenix/Matrix.

We are unable to provide complete customer account information at this time. On February 7, 2014, our main server hard drive had a complete system failure. We had to install new hard drive, and are still awaiting data recovery. We will be more than willing to provide complete detailed account information at that time. It has been estimated that we will have data recovery and input into our system within then next two-three weeks.
