I had voice to voice contact with a representative in the billing department at Phoenix Family Medical and left several messages with the office managerMy visit that day was solely for the Well woman's exam and no additional lab tests were requested by meAll topics discussed fell under the scope of the well woman's examPhoenix family medical requested labs that fall under the woman's exam but used the request codes associated with diagnosis instead of preventative which led to the insurance denial Because it took NINE months for me to receive the bill for these tests, it is outside of the appeal window with my insuranceI want a full refund for the cost of all labs and the office visit which was also coded incorrectly by Phoenix Family Medical Thank you, [redacted]

Patient did her Well Women Exam along with other tests on the same day. The blood draw for both the well women exam and the other tests (there were multiple other tests)was done on the same day. Her insurance only covered the preventive Well Women Exam, all the other tests were not covered by her...

insurance, hence [redacted] lab billed the patient directly for these other tests. The issue is between the patient and her Insurance and the lab she used. We are a doctors office and do not bill for labs. Our coding was correct. Our Practice Manager and [redacted] never received any email or voice mails from the patient. If the patient has further questions she can email our Practice Manager at [redacted]Thanks,Sachin D[redacted]Phoenix Family Medical Clinic

I like my doctor, but the "nurses" who work the phones and the counters are the most unprofessional, rude, arrogant ladies I have ever experienced. I'm pretty sure they are not nurses, and they just have those 4-month certificates for taking a couple classes. They will recognize your number and not answer your calls (I've tested this by calling from coworker's phones). About half the time they will send the wrong prescription, or send it to the wrong pharmacy. If they do get the wrong pharmacy, you'll have to wait for the entire process all over again for them to try and send to the right pharmacy. Good luck. Oh, and don't expect a phone call to ever be returned. Ever. In 2 years, not a single phone call has been returned. My coworkers actually joke about "her doctor's office is inside the daycare". The more you call, the more they will recognize your number and put you into voicemail. Your best bet is to walk in and see Dr. Nathan Payne and say as little as possible to the children they hire to answer the phones. As soon as I find a better doctor covered by my insurance, I'm reporting them for HIPAA violations (because they have sent other patient's prescriptions to me under my name), and the Attorney General's office, and the AMA. I've actually gotten other patience prescriptions in my name. Who does that?
