Phoenix Furniture Repair

On June 11 I took two vintage pieces of furniture to this business and the owner claimed that he would have them ready in 2-3 weeks. After 3 weeks, he reached out to say that not only was the work not complete, it had not even begun. He also could not remember what I wanted done to the pieces. He promised that they would be ready the following week. He stated that I would need to pay him a 30% deposit of $500 through venmo because he does not accept credit cards. I did so on July 07. Weeks went by, and the owner would make promise after promise in writing of a date when the furniture would be complete. However, each time the new date arrived, the work was not done, and the owner did not even bother to contact me. By the 5th or 6th time, I stated that this was unacceptable. He stated that I could pick my furniture up and that he would refund my deposit. The following day, I picked the furniture up, then he refused to refund any of my deposit. I have every conversation in writing.
