I did perform a home inspection at this property. I have inspected homes for 22 years. I make it a point to not unplug any cord or appliance during and inspection. I do check gfci's for operation and always rest them. this garage was very...
very cluttered and had a plug in strip that was laying on the floor. the buyers and I commented on how this was not a very good way to plug in a refrigerator. I did not touch or unplug this cord!. if I was the only one at the inspection or if the garage was neat and clean there may be a complaint. all I can say is that I did not unplug this cord and deny any claim that I did so. full freezers will stay for about 48 hours if the door is not opened - this complaint came to the buyers realtor the next day. it could be that the unit was already unplugged? I do not check to see if units are plugged in nor do I open them.
