On 02/01/we purchased a headstone for a deceased daughter the full amount of $was paid on 03/04/ We were originally told the process of getting the stone finished and placed on the grave would take "up to" months at worst We called and went there several times the first 2-months after we paid them to try and make sure the work was getting done By July when it still was done (and we kept hearing excuses from Phoenixville Memorial Works PMW), my husband *** went to press for information They told him the stone would be complete and placed in weeks He asked that they call me to confirm it was placed, but the never return calls from us I just went there again after visiting the grave only to find the stone is still not placed They said they could place it because of the winter weather They have continually lied, not returned calls, and still not completed work that has been paid for almost a year!

I contracted Phoenixville Memorial Works in January to engrave my mother in law's first name, data of birth and date of death on the family grave markerThey sent a contract and invoiceI paid and the check was cashed in JanuaryAs of today, August 3, the work has still not been completedEvery time I call, I am given another excuse, from the weather was too wet to the cemetery needed me to sign a form (when I first contacted Phoenixville Memorial Works in January, I was told on the phone that it may be necessary to sign a form, but they would let me know)In June I was told that the hold up was the form, so they sent me the form and I signed and returned it immediatelyIn July I was told that they agreed it took a long time and would get it done in a week or so I still don't have the product I ordered and paid for

I was told my mothers headstone would be completed in mid May of We are about to head into September and this is still not completedEvery time I call no one picks up I have sent several emails and I get no responses to my emails as wellAfter weeks someone called me and promised me it would be completed this week and it hasn’tI have been calling all week and emailing all week still no responseI find this very disrespectful and extremely unethical to do this to a burial site and still grieving family

Shady business, despicable peopleI hired them to inscribe my mothers date of death on her headstoneI paid in full $in April I went to the grave Nov and the date was not on the stoneI went to their shabby office and was told that it was a wet summer, they were very backed up, many many excusesI asked for my money back, and was told deposits were non refundable
I was upset, I told them I did not want them anymore and to not set foot at her grave, Lynn told her daughter to get my signature in writing that I was forfeiting my money which I signed on the receipt the daughter provided I then walked outside to my car and the daughter followed me, yelling "wait, your mother died two years ago and you are just now getting the date on her stone"? I ignored her and left
This is a terrible family and I cannot image how they are still in business

I engaged with Phoenixville Memorial Works in November to install a headstone on the grave of my late wifeI made a 50% depositI had no contact with the company until I tried to reach them in early March I tried several times to speak with them, left voice messages and received no return callsWhen I was able to finally reach them, the individual had to obtain the status of my headstone and promised to call backNo return call was receivedFinally, I call them at the end of June and was told the headstone would be installed on July 1st (months after my contract date)Once the headstone was installed, the company was relentless in getting their remaining moneyThey sent several letters, made several calls to my home and threatened to file a claim in a local callThis all occurred within the month of July, less than days since the installation of the headstoneI would not recommend this companyThere are may other companies who can provide these services and I would suggest working with one of them

They have been a wonderful company and family deal with When my mother died, I contacted them about engraving the existing headstone which was shared with my father with the date of her passingThe engraving was done very quickly and efficiently They also cleaned some of the family headstones for me and they look marvelous nowI think they have been a very professional and extremely caring company to work with

Our son passed away in Sept We went to Phoenixville Memorial Works to purchase a headstone They told us it would cost $and we needed to pay the total amount up frontWe didn't have that amount so we put down $for them to draw up a sketch which we didn't receive for approval until we called them and told them we had the rest of the money In June we paid them the balance of $and they cashed our check on June 28, To this date, January 30, 2017, our son's headstone is still not up We have called and left message after message and they rarely return out calls When they do, we always get a different story...one time it's on the truck, next time it will be up by the end of October, and the next time it's on backorder I know it takes awhile to do but months is out of line

As Power of Attorney for my father *** ***, I purchased a grave monument with future death inscription for my parents and paid in full on 6/5/ I was promised completion in 6-months (depending on foundation.)
The foundation was placed by the cemetery years ago and has no bearing on stone placement
I have called, visited, faxed, and emailed this company, spoken with the co-owner(s) who promised the stone would be done and placed, but never was I asked them to provide proof that the stone was ever ordered and received, and/or to see the actual finished stone or provide me a photograph The owner has refused my requests or made excuses as to why they could not comply with my request

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
What she said about me using bad language was not correct. I just got angry and frustrated that it would take to long to replace a stone when they had all my money!!!
I never agreed to them getting it done whenever they wanted to. She never even commeted on that. Complete lie.
The cemetary told them 6 months ago that it was ready to be placed. She told she would call me and find out why it was not there. And she never called me to follow up with me. So, that is when I called them again and again to find out what the issue was. And as she stated, " she said she had not called because she was to busy"!!!! That is not what you tell a cusotmer when you are to follow up with them. She has a HUSBAND that works there.

This is complete disrespect for myself and my dead relatives. I still want my money back!!! And I know now that I am not the only person from there to have problems. I can get a few names. I am in contact with the cemetary and she is also throwing them under the bus by saying it was thier fault. She never took the blame for anything and did not get an apology. Should be in writing, if you want to make things right.

Sept. 24, 2015
Dear [redacted],
Let me start by saying that the slant memorial was purchased on November 6, 2014 as a replacement monument for a marker that was already in place and marking all three graves of the “[redacted]” lot. [redacted] was told at the time of purchase, that...

we would work this order in when we were slow in business, since there was already a marker on the grave. This was fine with her and that is the last we heard from her until September 10, 2015. On this call she was very irate and used all kinds of fowl language as to why the stone was not in place yet. We explained that we had a very busy year and there was no need to talk this way. If she would have liked it on sooner all she needed to do was call and ask us. She informed us that she had not been to the cemetery since and just assumed it was there. She then hung up.On September 11, 2015 she called again demanding the stone be placed immediately or she wanted her money back. I told her that the slant would be set in the cemetery within a week and I would call her when it was there. The new stone was placed in [redacted]'s cemetery on Friday September 18, 2015. After returning from the cemetery I called [redacted] and told her that the stone was set in the cemetery, after which she gave me more of the same language as before.
It is rude, ignorant people like this who like to start trouble and bad mouth good caring businesses like ours for no reason at all. Why was she so upset? She had a marker in place marking the graves. The deaths were: 2001, 2009 and 2011. This was not a recent death that needed immediate attention. At the very least a simple call stating "Could you please get the stone finished for us as soon as possible”, instead of immediately contacting The Revdex.com, just to start trouble. All it would have taken was a simple call, I just cannot understand people anymore. She never even mentioned a “Thank You” or a call back saying, "The stone really looks nice” or a "Good Job’. She was just a miserable woman looking to take her frustration out on someone. Have a nice day [redacted].
Sincerely,Lynn H.
