I have read some of these reviews from some of the previous policy holders that had a negative experience and it makes me scream inside because blatantly they didn't read their policy before they signed itObviouslyIt states it right therre on the brochure mail that Physicians Mutual Insurance Company sends out that the coverage is as follows: Preventative care ( right away ) exams, X-rays, cleanings, etc Basic services ( after months) fillings simple tooth extractions, minor oral surgery & more Major procedures ( after months ) root canals, crowns, bridges, dentures, & more I read that in the 1st few minutes of the letter and it didn't scare me awayI understand how this company works and it's better than any other company I've seen

This company should not be allowed to sell dental insurance. They are not informative enough in your policies. What good is insurance that when you have an emergency that it doesn't help or cover any services? I have had this insurance 9 months and they have taken money out of my account for 9 months and couldn't cover 1 tooth extraction. [redacted] .

I purchased their dental ins for myself first to see if they were for realYou have to understand that the coverage is progressive for the first yearI was pleased with the way they handled my claimsAfter year I put my wife on the policyI opted to pay my Dentist up front and then have covered payments payable to me, just for the sake of keeping a good relationship with himClaim turn around is about weeksGranted they don't pay all of your cost but what they do pay is a great help and there are no caps on the coverage like other Ins that usually leave you High and Dry when you reach $***I also found they cover more procedures than mostI highly recommend this coverageThe premiums are reasonable for what they offerImagine only having to pay half or less for crowns or root canals etcno matter how many you needDon't hesitate and sign up now to get your waiting periods overKeep in mind cleanings and basic dental visits are covered immediately

I have had physicians mutual dental insurance for a few years now They paid promptly on my claims and how much they said they would pay for the procedures I had done While they don't pay a lot on some procedures, they do pay what they said they would pay I am happy with them and will continue to keep my dental policy

Preventative care ( right away ) exams, X-rays, cleanings, etc
Basic services ( after 3 months) fillings simple tooth extractions, minor oral surgery & more.
Major procedures ( after 12 months ) root canals, crowns, bridges, dentures, & more.

I read that in the 1st few minutes of the letter and it didn't scare me away. I understand how this company works and it's better than any other company I've seen.

I have been trying to cancel my policies since Sept. 6,2016. Today is December 5, 2016, still trying to cancel!!!! Very frustrated!!!! Just got a letter today saying that they changed my policy number, really?? What policy #??? uggggghhhhh!!!!!

My husband and I looked into buying this insurance but you have to wait 12 months before you can use it!!! What good is that!? I have had dental insurance before and it was usable immediately!!! It is a waste and they don't tell you this on the commercial so to me is a fraud!!!!

I signed up for Physician Mutual Dental's top plan. I use a small town dentist who is not expensive. Physician Mutual pays less than half of my cleaning and check up and paid less than half of a filling. VERY dissatisfied!!
When you add up my premiums plus my out of pocket expenses, I would be money ahead without their help. It cost me more to have their insurance than I would have paid for the work myself.
