Review: Phyzique continued to bill me for a gym membership past the letter of cancellation. When I contacted them, they said that they did not get it and that I would have to go to Liberty Lake in order to cancel services. The cancellation was turned into the north side location, along with weekly menu, where the instructor told me to put it. Copy if e-mails[redacted],Unfortunately, we have no record of your cancellation. Unless you received a confirmation from us, we didn't get one from you. We do require all written notices be turned in to the office, out in Liberty Lake. Sorry for the miscommunication. -----Original Message----- From: [redacted] Sent: Tuesday, September 2, 2014 4:33 PM PDT To: [redacted] Subject: Re: Membership As per my membership, I did notify the person in writing at the Northside gym. Per your contract, we do need a written notice so speaking to someone isn't enough to cancel your membership. I did put your cancellation through today so you won't see any further charges from us. Thanks [redacted]!Desired Settlement: I planned to honor the 3 month commitment which would have ended in April 2014. They have charged me $25 a week for 21 weeks...21 x $25 = $525

[redacted] was walked through a contract that stated that she was paying week to week until she provided a written cancellation (via postal or email) to the billing headquarters at [redacted]. If she misplaced that copy, the cancellation requirements were also in her 12 week challenger packet of information that she was given at orientation (on the sheet marked "common questions.") It was a 12 week contract on an auto renewal until written cancellation was provided. All of these policies were explained to her, she signed for them and all aspects of our contract were written by the attorney general's office themselves and are 100% up to state requirements.

Multiple issues with this company
1. When signing up you will not get a copy of your contract which has how to end your services with them. You have to email that you want to end services if you don't get told you still have a balance due after paying the weekly flat fee they will still charge you for two more weeks after your email notification of cancelation, that's if they actually stop charging your account(this is what they did with my account). Multiple people in my program were charged different prices for no apparent reason. When one customer confronted them about this she was kicked out of the program. I've heard of so many different issues with payment, being overcharged, being continuously charged, being double charged etc without resolve.
2. They promise to follow up and constantly monitoring your fitness and progress, they only follow up with you if they don't recieve payment.
3.these are group classes that focus only on the routine. They do not focus on individual ability or fitness level.
4. 1 out of the 7 different trainers I personally encountered in 11 weeks had any obvious physical fitness knowledge. Out of roughly the 20 people that went through the program with me a third of them were seriously injured because of poor form, inability to keep up with routine or being highly encourage by trainers to use more weight than individual could safely handle.
5. Class ratio can be up to 40 people to one trainer.
6. Fitness room not suitable for buisness, surrounding business at constant odds with physzique and customers.
7.they will promote the products that they sell as the 'only products you should be using' the markup on these products is ridiculous.

I signed up for the summer 2015 challenge, I went to a couple workout before the challenge and thought it would work for me. When the challenge started, the workout were way harder then the workouts I had done before the challenge (at the end of the previous challenge) I have a back issue, and being over weight, and all of the up down up down up down, burpee, bear crawls, crab walks etc, just hurt and irritated my back and neck, I was always sore. I hated crawling on the nasty floor. I refused to do it sometimes, which made the trainers upset and I felt bullied and forced into doing them. I did try to follow the diet plan, and did lose weight. On my 4th week though, I injured my foot pretty badly, and couldn't walk normal for weeks, and 6 weeks later it's just now almost fully healed. Unfortunately I've had to pay the $27 a week the entire time They wouldn't let me out of my contract, even though my foot was huge and swollen. I had to get a doctors note. Well it's a wash for me to spend $200 at the doctor, to save $200 there. So I just let it go.
If you like trainers who really push you/yell at you when you quit. This place is perfect. I don't respond well to the forceful treatment. Sometimes after running 30 laps I want to walk a couple. When you're really overweight it's hard on your joints to do a lot of the stuff they make you do, and they don't seem to care about that. They don't care if your knees hurt, back hurts, neck hurts, wrists hurt (from crawling on the floor) they just force you to keep going. I want to get healthy and get to the point where I can do all those things easier, but going from 0-100 is difficult when you're 100lbs overweight and they don't care that it tears your body up. They only care about your number, not your pain when you can't sleep at night.

DO NOT JOIN. I loved the workouts, and MOST of the coaches were excellent, although they tend to fire the good ones!!!! But physique DOES not supply what they promise for $25 a week. They promise 2 coaches per class, in 9 months there was never more than 1 coach at a time. they promise small classes, in 9 months there were never less than 30 people in classes. They promise nutritional help, and in 9 months not one person helped me with nutrition despite 7 phone calls to the office. The owners brother in law sam is the WORST. He is rude, disrespectful and doesn't understand what the definition of customer service is. Just look at the Revdex.com and how the attorney general has been on their case. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Normally, I love to see new businesses come to Yakima and I'm happy to help promote to friends and family on my large social media network. I did that for Physzique Yakima as they are supposed to start a new challenge on 1/18/16. They studio is completely bare, cement floors, nothing but a shell construction site as of 1/5/16. I joined online and between New Years Day and Monday, 1/4, was changed the $50 registration fee 3 different times and credited 1 time, still paying them twice. I called, Facebook Messaged and called again, and finally spoke to Katie who was nice. She referred me to Brandon who was out but she said it would get resolved. This morning I have yet another (4th) charge on my debit card. I called again, phone tag, and finally spoke with him to not only get credit for the double charge, but to get my original money back, he never even asked why I want to quit the challenge!!! Didn't even care about potential new customers in a new town where there are already amazing fitness studios and gyms!
Of course the line I got was that I MUST HAVE HIT SUBMIT PAYMENT too many times and was charged wrong. No Brandon, I didn't. I know how to purchase on the internet. And somehow someone at your organization made the "reversal" of charges so how did that happen? When I asked for an authorization number for the credit of $100 he had none. "That's not how it works" - I USED to work in hotels and retail and I know HOW IT WORKS! I then confirmed, "Wait, you're going to refund my money and not even care why I don't want to join or do anything to resolve my concerns?" He said, "What do you want me to do, I've refunded your money." I said, "How about telling me how you can bill someone 4 times without even one apology????? Please give me the name of the owner." He said they don't give out that information, so I asked for the manager. He said it was him. I said, I need the Yakima Manager, because I promise you, if word gets out that you guys have crappy customer service, you will be empty for a long time, it's a small town. He said he was the Operations Manager. I said, "Good Luck with your business, you are not going to go far.
Worst customer experience I've had in years.

Really surprised this place is still in business. Unethical, shady business practices. They only care about money and have zero loyalty to their clients! I have seen many people get kicked out of their gym for simply voicing their opinion. I do not recommend this business!

DO NOT JOIN. I loved the workouts, and MOST of the trainers were excellent. However, the way they run their business is HORRIBLE. The owners wife is one of the most disrespectful, demeaning people I have ever met. If she spent the amount of time invested in respecting her clients as she does ranting on facebook, they would have better business. She is extremely immature and defensive and horrible to deal with. Her brother who is also a "trainer" comes to class with jeans and TOMS with his toes sticking out and drills people around like he is the best thing since sliced bread. Get off your high horse! They are corrupt and it is not a company you would want to invest in. Just look at the Revdex.com and how the attorney general has been on their case. The owners wife accuses everyone of slander if they say one bad thing, however I have a copy of an email she sent out to her clients ranting on ItWorks and Isagenix (and yes she mentios company names which is SLANDER).

They fired one of their best trainers in front of clients, 10 minutes before a class she was supposed to teach. Then when people left the gym because of it, Amy personally called people and threatened that if they quit because of the trainer being fired, they were going to fine the trainer for slander. WAKE UP- YOU CANT DO THAT. And threatening people wont get you anywhere. Very toxic and poisonous company. Get rid of the owners wife and brother in law, then you may have a decent business.
