Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The business is misrepresenting the factsTheir response is outlined in:{The customer's only payment to our site was a 30-day trial for cents.} This is trueI paid them $.99, saw how much the renewal was ($297!) and then promptly cancelled{The customer mentioned a promised price on our site This is not the case as it is clearly crossed out In fact, it's crossed out because our 30-day trial is only cents which is what the customer charged.} This not trueThe crossed out price says "Monthly Membership $9.95" which implies that the montly fee is $It does not say that the trial membership is normally $The sales page is completely misleading.{We do not understand where the customer is assuming that we charge $- we never charged the customer this we do not charge that price for anything and no where is it listed.} This is a half-truthI initially stated that I did not want to be charged $270, the real number is $which is hidden on their website off the main page and definitely not on their sales page{The customer asked for cancelation and we promptly canceled their account.} Not trueI asked for a cancellation, they offered me a price of $per month rather than the $priceThey also responded with an incredulous attitude.{We simply asked that if they would like to continue at an ongoing rate beyond the 30-day trial for $27/month, that they had that optionHowever, they did not apparently find that price valuable (even though traditional piano lessons often cost $per hour) and did not accept.} At this point it was clear that this company had a predatory renewal policyBy starting with a low rate and then having an extremely high renewal rate, they are preying on consumers that will forget to cancel their subscriptionsInitially I was willing to pay $a month for their serviceI might have even been willing to pay $if it had been clearly stated in the initial pricingHowever, due to their conscience effort to deceive customers I told them I wanted nothing to do with their shady business and that I wanted a cancellation{The customer continued Emails in an angry manner, and we mentioned again that the account was already canceled and that they would no longer be able to login to their account to continue our support message thread.} Again, untrueAfter receiving several passive aggressive and condescending emails, I responded that I wanted a cancellation and that if they continued to harass me I would take legal actionI feel that their website clearly violates California Law: The California Automatic Renewal Law, California Business and Protections Code This law requires more conspicuous placement of renewal terms including having the terms and pricing on the sales pageI asked for any further contact to be directed to my attorney, and gave them the attorney's informationThey continued to harass me rather than just cancel the account, and never did they contact my attorneyThey then "banned me" (their words) from their site so that I wouldn't be able to access the string of emails in case of a law suit All I wanted was to cancel my account from a business that I believe to be corruptInstead they continually harrassed me until I had no choice to threaten them with a law suit in order to get them to stopThey have horrible business practices and consumers need to be aware of the kind of business they are Sincerely, [redacted]

The website offers a 60-day money back guarantee I contacted their customer service department to cancel my account, I received as response form them stating they would look into the situation When I asked for a refund under the terms of the guarantee they stopped all contact

Despite our team already offering the buyer lifetime access at no additional charge, he declined and instead wanted a refund in an attempt to get our work and lessons at no charge Sadly, it appears his only intent was to gain access during the trial with no real intention of continuing to use our lessons beyond the discounted period This buyer has already been refunded The buyer also incorrectly stated the dollar/initial month charge even though it is clearly crossed out with a lower cent price for the trial period The "back end" of our site is also a very big misrepresentation as the buyer's IP address agreed to our terms of service during initial checkout; the price is also listed at the top of the FAQ page and his account after he signed up and when he logged in thereafter The buyer also sent an Email to which we promptly replied (within minutes) despite his claim that we ignored him The buyer was beyond his 60-day guarantee as he signed up on November 30, Despite being billed for the first month after the trial, we have refunded the buyer so that we can focus on on real clients that partake with our lessons and learning community This buyer is not welcome to try and take advantage of our work at a discounted membership again

We are sorry that the customer did not enjoy or piano tutorials like our other customers A request for cancelation was not sent by the user until he was already into his second month of lessons and thus the charge was accurate It is clear after talking to the customer that he was only interested in taking advantage of our trial offer with no real intention of paying for any of our well-produced lessons We have checked and our team did in fact refund the user The user should wait a few days and check later this week as his bank/card likely takes a few days to process it out of the pending material

The buyer signed up to our monthly piano lessons In our terms of use, we ask that members to Email our support team if they wish to cancel their account Because many students siand finish payment off of our site with a 3rd party subscription (such as [redacted] ), it is often not possible to cancel directly within the lessons account since the user would in that case need to cancel the billing subscription they created with the payment provider they opted into off of our site In this case, the buyer quickly opened a dispute with their credit card company and we have not been able to transfer the payment back to him during this process As we just recently checked, the funds were recently released back to us (because the buyer lost his dispute as his credit card company agreed that the charge was accurate and per the subscription that he signed up to) We have initiated the buyer's refund and he should expect it as soon as his bank processes it (likely within one week).We wish the buyer would continue playing piano, and unfortunately private lessons in his area are about $50/hr which provides less content than we provide It's quite clear that we offer great value and are saddened that he is unaware of the common pricing for hourly piano lessons We privately offered the buyer a discount to $27/month but it appears he only wanted to take advantage of our top-rated lessons at no cost

Their website is very misleadingOn their ad, it appears that they ask for an initial 99c fee, and subsequent dollars a monthHowever, this is not the caseOn the back end of their website, they explain that they charge you dollars after daysHowever, they didn't charge me after days, they charged me after days, and they have a day money-back guarantee displayed on their advertisementI talked to their support staff and when I asked for my money back, they just ignored meI have pictures of their website where they promise a day money-back guarantee, and on the back end of their website, they even promise a day money-back guaranteeOn their ad, they say that you have nothing to lose when you sign up because of their money back guarantee, however this is not the caseIt's such a shame because I grew up watching ***'s(creator of PianoKeyz.com) tutorials when I was learning

The customer only recently requested a refund and to close their account on 12/9/We have already refunded the transaction per the request and are sorry that the customer expects their bank to show it back within minutesWe cannot control
how long her bank/card to takes to process a refundWe have additionally offered this customer additional free lessons for any of their troubles, but they have not seem interested in thatWe are saddened that this customer did not appreciate our lessons like the vast majority of our other customers doWe have gladly already provided them a refund, and we will now get back to providing lessons for our other appreciate customers

There is nothing more that we can do for this previous customer Before completing their sign-up, they were directed off-site to paypal which again listed the subscription terms before they completed the payment and sign-up Their account has already been canceled per their request

Signed up for a trialWas not able to cancel on time, the website says days money back guarantee, but they would not refund the amountThe merchant loops you in with a day trial for $and then charges $for daysWhen reached out with *** with a dispute, merchant blocked my IP and is not refunding the amountSo now I cannot use their service and they wont refund the money

Although the user controlled his own billing and subscription with another service apart from our site, we went out of the way to contact *** on his behalf to tell them to refund the payment even though *** investigated and found the transaction to occur with the users intent The user has been refunded and we have still offered him discounted service in the future It appears that he was unfortunately never had the intent from the beginning of paying four the lessons we provided him We recommend he find lessons in his area, which unfortunately are many times in higher cost than ours We need to spend our time focused on our current students who value our top-rated lessons

Unfortunately, there have been some previous users who have tried to take advantage of our popular newer material and then attempting to get it for free by backdating a refund for it, and then signing up again for a new discounted trial
However, our company has always strived for customer satisfaction which is why this appears to be the first complaint we have received in over a year's timeWith this push for excellence and to keep all of our customers happy, we have gone ahead to refund this customer the full asking amount of $We have also privately E-mailed the customer to offer an additional six months of access to our newer lessons at no charge in an attempt to restore their confidence

I signed up for a cent trial for this website in JanuaryI noticed shortly after that the auto renewal price was $per month, which is a gross overcharge for the services offeredI thought I cancelled the auto renewal by going into the account settings, but even though I unchecked the box that said auto renew, I ended up being charged in FebruaryI contacted the company and was told that since I didn't e-mail their support team to cancel, I was stuck with the chargeI requested a refund, since the website claims to offer a day money back guarantee, and I was not satisfied with the services offered by the websiteThey recently stopped responding to my e-mails and I have yet to receive a refund for the auto renewal that I did not wantThis seems fraudulent and deceptive; why have an option to cancel the renewal in the account settings if you have to contact them directly? And they give no indication that the price is $after the first month unless you check your acco

This is a predatory website, which uses a classic bait and switch tactic to fraudulently charge customers an extremely high renewal rateAfter seeing the renewal rate skyrocket from the promised $advertised on the website, to the outrageous $which is nowhere to be found on the main pageIt is kept out of direct sight of the consumer on a back page
After informing them of the price disparity, they still did not offer the advertised $rate, but yet a higher $a month rateThey also communicated in a passive aggressive mannerAll I asked for was a cancellation of the online product renewal
The "Customer Support" is extremely rude and passive aggressive and send replies such as:
"It looks like you only signed up days ago, which would be the quickest cancelation in historyYou quit piano already? Would you like a cheaper $27/month rate?"
"Your account has been canceled; you were never charged furtherYou apparently have some big issues going on and we

Before our team could investigate the request, the buyer opened a dispute with *** which is who initiated the billing per the member's active subscription with them The user did not cancel *** billing until April 10th As our terms state, users that open a dispute with *** will
be subject to their outcome The buyer since canceled the subscription and will not be charged further by *** We have still meanwhile offered lifetime access at no additional charge in hopes that the user would find that beneficial
