To whom it may concern: In response to ID # [redacted] When we send mailing for our sales, we typically mail up to 15,000+ pieces of mail for clearance saleWe try to explain to the few people who call to be removed from our mailings that once you are on those lists, it is almost impossible to get off of them We don't just go through and pick names out of the phone book, those lists are purchased from a direct mail marketing company, and the pieces are sent from that companyWe do send the names and addresses of the few people who call to be removed, to our marketing staff and they do their best to remove the names, but once a name is on those lists, it is virtually impossible to be removedWe do not "harass" people with pieces of mail We do mention to the few people who call to be removed from these list, that they can go to optout.com and follow instructions to begin removing their nameWe do apologize to the few people calling to be removed from our list and we do our best to help remove their namesMost people understand the process, and some, unfortunately, do notThanks in advance, Anthony B***PianoWerkes###-###-#### [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: In our case, PianoWerkes did not do their best to help us. When we called to complain, whoever answered the phone at Pianowerkes hung up on us. We understand how difficult it may be to get off a mailing list, but this problem was created by PianoWerkes decision to use this type of marketing. The company they hired is using a list that contains names of deceased people that never lived in New Mexico and the list is apparently infrequently refreshed. My conclusion would be that they could either hire a different mail marketer that does a more effective job or use a different mode of advertising. While the average person who gets these mailings may not inform them about it, PianoWerkes decision to use a direct mail marketer that has poorly screened and focused lists does have an effect on the public and does give a negative impression of their business. We do not feel it is fair for them to claim it is all our problem to fix. In this case PianoWerkes did not do their best to help us. We understand the process, but unfortunately, some companies such as PianoWerkes do not understand the problem.
