I have been with Johnson Home Insurance since 1983, I've put in major claims The first in late 80s was handled very well, but the last one I put in in April of was not handled properly at all There was photo & video evidence, plus verbal testimony from myself and the engineer who owns the company that remediated all the water damage in my basement caused by installers when replacing my bath tub on the first floor The adjuster, Richard *** told me, with one other person present that "you will get your $deductible back" Now he denies having said that! The ombudsman for the company will not return my calls!!! A number of people from Johnson have now informed me, after months that the file is closed because it's too expensive for them to pursue it!!!??? I would advise anyone reading this who has Johnson insuring their home, or anything else, to find a new insurance co., and/or don't ever choose Johnson Inc to insure anything you own as they do not do a decent job for their clients...they have my money so what do they care The thousands of $s I've paid them in premiums since and they just give up after months!!! This is not ethical or proper business conduct as far as I and many friends and everyone I can possibly tell about this issue are concerned Johnson has now lost a lot of business due to their uncaring, unethical way of dealing with thier clients!
Absolutely disgusting service!!! We had hail damage to our house (roof) and gazebo, they gave us a quote as to what they would give us and we accepted itWhen the cheque arrived in the mail it was $short of what they quoted us due to depreciationI get that depreciation comes in to play, but they should have told us that before we accepted to go through with the claimWe put the cheque into savings waiting till we could afford the other $to get our roof fixed when they emailed us asking for receiptsWe told them the issue and what was going on and they said they were going to cancel our policyNo apology, no offer to let us give them the money back (since it does us no good right now anyway), just "we're going to cancel your policy"*** these guys!!! I deal with another company for my business and they have been nothing but awesome, I'm moving my personal home and auto insurance over there in hopes I never go through this again
