At the time of purchase the customer was informed multiple times that Tonnos's are not watertightMr [redacted] did come back in for us to check his tonno cover after a few months from his purchase years ago and we found that he did not install it correctlyWe corrected the install for him, moved the gasket out over the bulkhead as it should have been, tightened the clamps as needed all at no cost to him.we are not sure why he would say our customer service is lacking when he did the install incorrectlyWe even stated at that time almost months ago to feel free to let us know if we could do anything else to help himTo our knowledge he's never contacted us any furtherHis nephew even works for us and would have made sure we knew if he hadPickups Plus cars would be glad to help assist him, if it is a true warranty issueWe do not write the mfg warranties, but are here to assist when notified with a reasonable request

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution is satisfactory to me The company did swap out the defective cover, I have not had any issues with the new cover and am satisfied with the outcome

the company is using the same excuse now as they have for a year.  In his response he says 2 years ago I came in after a few months, I purchased it less than 2 years ago, he obviously didn't even look it up. His excuse of installation was a joke.  There was a flap on the front that need to be placed in front, that would have mattered only if the cover leaked while in motion, the cover leaks when it is stationary as well. They installled it and I went back the same day and it was still leaking.  I have since been back again to show them it was leaking and sent pictures, that are attached to both the company and manufacturer.  The reason they are using for the leak does not make sense.  The pictures demostrate the state of the leak, after a rain shower, in which the truck was stationary, after the company "correctly installed" the unit.   As for their disclosure that it was water tight, is far different from everything you put under the cover getting wet as a result of the leak. I leave my newphew out of it for fear of the owner punishing him(my nephew) for me pointing out the owners unwillingness to address warranty issues and give customers the run around.   I believe the attached photos, debunk the companies position.Obviously I am taking the time to resolve the issue through the Revdex.com because the owner provides the same response and will not even send the cover back to the factory for warranty service.  The manufacturer, insists that I deal with the place of purchase.  So I am stuck between a rock and a hard place, eat $1,000 for a defective product and let the owner give me the run around or exhaust every legal means I have available to force the owner to stand behind the products he sells and refund my purchase or give me a non-defective product.Regards,

We even stated at that time almost 20 months ago to feel free to let us know if we could do anything else to help him. To our knowledge he's never contacted us any further. His nephew even works for us and would have made sure we knew if he had. Pickups Plus cars would be glad to help assist him, if it is a true warranty issue. We do not write the mfg warranties, but are here to assist when notified with a reasonable request.
