There are two things that must happen in order for us to go ahead and repair the customer's concern. He needs t retract the *** review, and return respond that the dealer has accepted responsibility and will repair the damage. He needs to have the vehicle dropped of for two days so we can do the repair, at no cost to customer

We have informed this customer on numerous occasions that this vehicle is in consignment, and before we can sell it we must repair the problem with the electric topThe parts have been ordered and the repairs should be completed by early next week. We have also told him that the amount of the
check is fluid, since he is still making payments on his trade and the payoff should lower.. Another concern is that we have to re evaluate his trade, since it has been over a month since we last evaluated, values changed on a weekly basisOne thing that he may do is to take his trade to the local *** ***, as he would be given a current evaluation and he may opt to sell to them and just purchase the *** without a tradeWe have given him the out the door price already. It is of no issue that the vehicle was not inspected for damage during the dealerships non-business hoursThe dealership did follow follow standard protocol when the vehicle was checked in by the dealership's service department the following morning during their business hoursThe vehicle was checked in to the dealership on paper which specifically states "no damage." When it was returned to me days later the vehicle now has a hole in the bumper and the dealership believes that I am 50% responsible for the damage while in their careI am completely unsatisfied with the way in which this dealership has failed to take responsibility for the damage sustainedThis is a new vehicle that has no scratches/dents prior to getting it back from this dealershipI realize that damage can occur while vehicles are being moved around and maneuvering about in dealership parking lotsAll I am requesting is that responsibility is accepted for damage sustained while the vehicle was in their care and the damage is repairedI have the document that checks the vehicle into their dealership with no damage I also spoke to the service advisor who checked the vehicle in on the phone and never indicated that there was existing damage although when we picked up the vehicle and it was called to his attention on the spot he responded "oh, that was there." Due to fact that the vehicle could have been damaged when it was picked up and towed here, we felt that a resolution of paying half of the repair was the right thing to do. The vehicle was dropped off in the middle of the night, and no inspection was done at that time. Sincerely ***
