RE: Response to [redacted] - Refund or Exchange Issues. To respond to this customer complaint, we would first like to state that we have our return policy posted on the counter next to the credit card payment machine used by customers to provide credit/debit paymentThis sign clearly states our return policy "Shoes returned within days of purchase in ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH RECEIPT, will be fully refunded, exchanged or given store creditAll sales are final on SALE ITEMS." Our policy on sale shoes is also posted around our shop by our sale racks and its verbally told to each customer at purchase, as well as printed on our receiptsOn 8/13/16, when this customer purchased a pair of sale shoes, was also the day of the Alberta Street FairAs part of the street fair we did put shoes out on the sidewalk for a sidewalk sale as well as have shoes on sale insideAs the customer indicated we did not have an "all sales final" sign outside near our sale shoes in front of our shopThough as mentioned above when the customer checked out and used her credit card to purchase her shoes, she would have encountered the sign with our Return PolicyIt was a very busy day due to the Street Fair and though we do tell everyone at purchase that sale shoes are final, it could have been missed due to the activity of the dayDue to the heavy volume of traffic that day, our employee cannot recall this exact exchange to verify a verbal reminder of the final sale When the customer called to ask to return the shoes, we would have been happy to give her store credit even though these were final sale shoes, if she had not told our employee that she had worn the shoes outside prior to deciding they were not comfortableOur return policy clearly states that shoes must be in Original Condition for return or exchange (light wear inside only)Once a pair of shoes is worn outside it cannot be resold and therefore is not returnable even for store credit This customer also indicated she has shopped from us many times in the past, which would lead us to believe that we had communicated our return policy to her during a past transactionBased on her description of the issue she had with the shoes, we offered to stretch them for her as a way to find a solution that could work for all parties involvedThough we did not have an "all sales final" sign outside of our shop for the sidewalk sale, we do feel that it was clearly posted at point of purchase for this customer to understand our return policy before making her decision purchaseThat aside, this customer has gone through several avenues to inform others of her discontent and request a refund for her purchase and since we agree that we may not be the best customer/business match for future purchases, we will refund her credit card the $As these shoes have been worn outside and are not able to be resold we would ask that she donate them to charityA refund will be provided within business days of this response.Pie FootwearNE Alberta St.Portland, OR

RE: Response to [redacted] - Refund or Exchange Issues. To respond to this customer complaint, we would first like to state that we have our return policy posted on the counter next to the credit card payment machine used by customers to provide credit/debit payment. This sign clearly states our return...

policy "Shoes returned within 15 days of purchase in ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH RECEIPT, will be fully refunded, exchanged or given store credit. All sales are final on SALE ITEMS."  Our policy on sale shoes is also posted around our shop by our sale racks and its verbally told to each customer at purchase, as well as printed on our receipts. On 8/13/16, when this customer  purchased a pair of sale shoes, was also the day of the Alberta Street Fair. As part of the street fair we did put shoes out on the sidewalk for a sidewalk sale as well as have shoes on sale inside. As the customer indicated we did not have an "all sales final" sign outside near our sale shoes in front of our shop. Though as mentioned above when the customer checked out and used her credit card to purchase her shoes, she would have encountered the sign with our Return Policy. It was a very busy day due to the Street Fair and though we do tell everyone at purchase that sale shoes are final, it could have been missed due to the activity of the day. Due to the heavy volume of traffic that day, our employee cannot recall this exact exchange to verify a verbal reminder of the final sale.  When the customer called to ask to return the shoes, we would have been happy to give her store credit even though these were final sale shoes, if she had not told our employee that she had worn the shoes outside prior to deciding they were not comfortable. Our return policy clearly states that shoes must be in Original Condition for return or exchange (light wear inside only). Once a pair of shoes is worn outside it cannot be resold and therefore is not returnable even for store credit.  This customer also indicated she has shopped from us many times in the past, which would lead us to believe that we had communicated our return policy to her during a past transaction. Based on her description of the issue she had with the shoes, we offered to stretch them for her as a way to find a solution that could work for all parties involved. Though we did not have an "all sales final" sign outside of our shop for the sidewalk sale, we do feel that it was clearly posted at point of purchase for this customer to understand our return policy before making her decision purchase. That aside, this customer has gone through several avenues to inform others of her discontent and request a refund for her purchase and since we agree that we may not be the best customer/business match for future purchases, we will refund her credit card the $48. As these shoes have been worn outside and are not able to be resold we would ask that she donate them to charity. A refund will be provided within 10 business days of this response.Pie Footwear2916 NE Alberta St.Portland, OR 97211
