Piece by Piece ("PBP)") has never explained the coverage options available, the way the Company actually presented its insurance of safe delivery of items policy is that the Company (along with their underlying insurance) will cover all the damaged items due to the move and/or storage at PBP.This is unacceptable to mislead customers about the Company's "guarantees", "coverages" or "services." *** ** ***

incident. As we explained, every moving company is required to provide a free basic amount of coverage at $.60 per pound per item. Which is the free option you elected to take. You had an opportunity to purchase Full value Replacement coverage at additional cost, which was declined. You would also have needed to fill out our high value inventory for any items in excess of $100 per lb per item. When you consider a china cabinet weighs at most 200lbs, a chair roughly 15lbs, and a painting 1lb, you can see we have reimbursed well over the $.60 per lb coverage as a customer service gesture. Im sorry there sounds as though there was a disconnect between our explanation and your understanding of our liability coverage options and the "guarantees" we extend to our clients. For the reasons that have previously been discussed and addressed herein, we have exhausted our ability to do anything further toward reimbursement. [redacted] President

We have not chose that coverage as that does not even make any sense for handling ithe items that we wanted to take a special care for.  If you marked us for that coverage then I have no idea why.We picked PbP only due to the fact that you explained to us the safety of the items, insurance coverage that covers damages due to the move/storage (!).  That is exactly my point that you have mislead, misrepresented your services/insurance and when the damages arose you decided to walk away with the ridiculous paymentthat covers minimal fraction of the damages (!).

I think there may have been some confusion about our business insurance policies and the liability coverage options we offer to clients when moving. We certainly did not intend to misrepresent the way that claims are addressed, as this is consistent with every licensed moving company.
