PART sold a Dodge grand caravan with 138,miles on it to the buyer on 11-20-The vehicle was sold through an
on-line auction called Govdeals.comThe bill of sale states "Asset is sold as is, where is and without warrantyOnce the asset is removed from the seller's premises there is no refund of monies previously paid." The buyer accepted the vehicle and drove to another city over miles awayAt this point we were contacted about complaints concerning the vehicleWhen we were made aware of this complaint we offered to take the vehicle back with no additional questions and provide a full refund for the vehicleThis vehicle was maintained according to the manufacturers recommendationsThe buyer chose to keep the vehicle and drove several hundred miles before a complaint was filedWe feel our initial offer to return the vehicle was sufficient and that no additional monetary refund should be provided

I contacted P.A.R.T and they wanted me to continue driving to return the vehicle to themTook it to a B.B.BMember Automotive Mechanic near my home, at their request, who verified the rear brake situation
Informed P.A.R.TI was afraid to drive the vehicle in this condition
Asked at that time for P.A.R.Tto make arrangements to pickup or have it towed back at their expense
Troubling that any organization responsible for transportation of the public would request a citizen to drive a dangerous vehicle in an unsafe condition because they lied about maintain it as they advertised!
