This company has very poor practices. Their technician came to my home on a service call and proceeded to collect $75.00 from me to tell me my unit was not working!!!!!! That is why they were sent by AHSWarranty to begin with!!!! The technician spent 3 minutes looking at my hvac unit then went to his van to see if he had a blower motor because he concluded that the blower was out and needed to be replaced and then left with my check and without any reasonable explanation!!!!!! Horrible, please do not use this company!!!!!! When I called to complain to [redacted] the supervisor at Piedmont Mechanical he did nothing to correct the situation and found nothing wrong with his technicians behavior or the company's practice of collecting a $75 service fee without providing any service! Horrible!!!!!!!

Our AC unit went out and we contacted our home warranty company. They sent Piedmont on a Monday. The technician decided the fan and fan motor where shot. On Friday, he came back and installed a new fan and motor. When he turned on the unit, it didn't operate. He then decided that it needed a new condenser. The following Thursday(now 10 days after the original call) they installed the new condenser. As per the warranty, I paid $965 for the freon. It operated for about an hour and quit. On Friday(day 11) someone came out and told us he fixed the problem. It ran for an hour and then quit. We called the tech late on that Friday night to tell him. He said they'd try to get us service on Saturday. No service. Monday (now two weeks in) we were told that we would get service between 2-7 on Tuesday(Day 15).

The service has been inept, but the communication is horrible. No one answers their phone. You have to leave a message and hope that they call you back.
