Piedmont Property Solutions of NC Reviews (%countItem)

I have signed a construction agreement with Piedmont Property Solutions Of NC LLC on 01/24/2019. The owner John *** said the job would take 6 days to be completed, he said he would get a permit and when I said I didn’t have enough money for the electrical and plumbing work at that moment John stated that could be done after he finished the construction. The total amount for the job was $7,980.89 and I paid a deposit of $3,945.45 with a cashier’s check. They worked only 2 days and they were working without a permit. When I inquired about the permit at the end of the second day, John said this job didn’t need a permit and after contacting the Guilford county permit office I came to know that this type of construction would definitely needed a permit and that the electrical and plumbing had to be done before finishing the construction. Bryan, the project manager for Piedmont Property Solutions said they would get the permit. After abot 10 days they came back with the permit, they made some adjustments for about an hour and said they where ready for the first inspection. I had to contact a plumber and the electrician, they finish their job and passed the inspections. After several calls and messages Piedmont Property Solution contacted the inspector and said they where ready. The inspection failed miserably for 5 different things. After calling and texting several times. Yesterday Bryan called to let me know that John is closing the business and moving to Florida. I sent John a last message yesterday and he answered that he was sorry but I ha to call someone else to finish the job. When I asked about my money he sayd I only paid 3,500 and they did work worth that amount. They didn’t even finished the frame which had to pass the first inspection and the work they did is not even worth 1,000.

I was very happy at first with PPS. Shower door install, paint job in kitchen, accent wall in living room, master bath, and bedroom, back splash and two ceiling fans one on vaulted ceiling. $2200. After paying is when things went wrong. My ceiling fans were not wired correctly and no one came out to fix this problem that I immediately reported, though someone was supposed to and never showed. I fixed it myself despite a fear of heights. A few days ago when placing up new blinds I discovered the painters did not replace the original blinds correctly in the master bedroom. I discovered this because the blinds fell on my arm leaving a bruise and causing pain for over a week and a half. I was raising the blinds when they fell out of their bracket that is supposed to secure them in place. I had a towel rip on the shower door frame that installed where the metal is jagged and rough. The glass is marred and uncleanable. And finally, I had to go back and clean my backsplash myself. It was left dirty with grout. Cleaning was very poorly done. I have reached out for contact twice via their Facebook private messenger prior to coming to Revdex.com. I requested a phone call both times. And gave ample time to receive the call or a response via messenger. I was super happy, now I just feel manipulated, and robbed. I have pictures of the bruise, shower door, and ceiling fan height. All I originally wanted was to talk with Mr. Vernon in hopes of working things out without going to this level. The blinds falling was to much, that could have killed a pet if it had fallen and hit them wrong. I should not have to check the work of contractors when $2200 is involved, but now I know better.

In response to ***'s complaint.

The company has not had direct contact with Mrs. since the project was completed to her satisfaction. Attached you will see her only Facebook contact with us, where she is raving about how great the work we do is and how awesome it was to work with *** and his crew. So this complaint comes as a huge surprise to us.

On 12/3, the day we received the complaint via mail, *** made contact with Mrs. so he could go out and see what she needs help with and address all of her concerns. They agreed to have him come out any day after 5 pm. *** arrived on 12/4 at 5pm. *** and Mrs. spoke for about half an hour and did a walk through. Mrs. only seemed concerned about a metal spur on the shower door that was left over from cutting of the door for proper fitting. This very small spur caused Mrs *** to tear a bathroom towel, for which we provided her a $50 gift card as an apology. *** was set to revisit Mrs ***s home on 12/7 to file down the spur on the shower door, prior to heading to her home *** called to confirm timing and he was advised by Mrs *** that she would not be available on 12/7. He offered to come out on the 12/8 or 12/9 to wrap this up. She responded by saying its not a big deal and the will take care of it.

We consider this project closed to the satisfaction of all parties.

I am rejecting this response because:

First, we should get dates and times right. *** came to my house on Wednesday, December 5th, to deliver a $50 gift card for the torn towel. Thank you. We spoke about the "small spur" or as *** discussed with me cut edge that should have been filed and wasn't..... We discussed the fans that were not wired correctly and I had to fix. We discussed the paint mess that was left behind. More importantly we discussed the blinds that fell on my arm when I was pulling them up because they had not been re-installed correctly when the painters finished. So yes, when the job was initially finished, I did go on *** and give a good review. Then when the fans where incorrectly installed but nothing was done, I let it go. But when the blinds fell on me, I went on *** and their private messenger and asked them to contact me immediately, it's time stamped. I did this twice. Since they pay attention to ***, my message should be there.Second, I did say I was pleased at first. Then I had blinds fall on me from the workers not installing them correctly after they finished painting. Then, I noticed a mar on the brand new shower door that cannot be cleaned off, and it's not a "small spur". The painters left paint on my faucets. I had to clean my backsplash, again. Let's go back to dates and time... on Wednesday, December 5 *** asked to return wanting to fix the shower either Thursday or Friday. I said I could make myself available Thursday (that is December 6)! *** agreed and said he would be by around the same time Thursday December 6. I came home from work, Thursday, December 6. And waited. No call. No show. I get a call Friday December 7 at work saying *** would like to come by at 4:30 if I am available. I was not, I texted thatwI was not. I told him Wednesday I had a lot to do but could make myself available Thursday. This is not the first time I or someone waited for someone to come fix something. My dad waited all day for them to come fix the ceiling fans the day after they were installed wrong, and no one showed, even though someone was supposed to show up. For the shower, Thursday, December 6 was the day we agreed to, not Friday, not Saturday and definitely not Sunday in the middle of a winter storm! At no time did I say "it's no big deal." I have copy of texts. I am fed up with being put off, being treated as if unimportant. So yes I said, it's fine. They didn't correct the mistake with the ceiling fans either. And since Mister Ramsey is saying my only concern was a "small spur" and is misinforming about dates and times. No, I'm not satisfied. People should know the companies follow up and follow through is horrible. My concern is customer service and respect. Is this closed to my satisfaction? No. My satisfaction would some money back from the $2200 I paid out. But I know that won't happen. Now I just want people to know. Buyer beware.Denial is one thing, lies are another. I Have Attached All The Pictures And Screenshots To Support My Side. That said I am honestly done with this company and want nothing more to do with them unless it is to accept a portion of my money back and they can mail that to me. The lying response they gave was nasty. I just want you as the Revdex.com to know, that this business is not a customer friendly business and I think others have a right to know as well.

John came out to our home to do a bathroom remodel. Spending that large amount of money was scary. John and his crew made it simple, easy and exciting. They did a remarkable job. They were on time, clean and very kind. They didn't try to cut corners and the work was exceptional. I would recommend them to do your job. Our bathroom is beautiful. We were so pleased from beginning to end!

Thank you so much for your business. So happy that your mom got the amazing bathroom she was looking for. Thanks for the review

They did a great job turning my loft into a fourth bedroom. The quality of work was great. They were amazing with flexibility in scheduling and they will definitely have my business again

We just finished a $30,000 addition adding a home theater room and restroom in our unfinished upstairs space. It was an overall pleasant experience. I’m not going to try to convince you that everything went perfect because if I did, I would be lying, and you wouldn’t believe me anyway.
But what I can state is that anytime an issue came up, it was quickly addressed and taken care of to our satisfaction. They are good people who do quality work and I will use them again in the future.

Piedmont Property Solutions completed two projects for me. They repaired my chimney stopping my roof leak. They also repaired an old retaining wall that the stucco was falling off in chunks. Looks like new. Never tried to take advantage of a single woman with overestimates. Reasonable cost, prompt and reliable. Job well done, thank you.

We had a very good experience. Kitchen, master Bath. Wife is very very excited. Thank you and Well Done PPS

Thanks brad. Enjoyed your project and glad yall are happy. Ready for the next project. Have a blessed day.

This company agree to work on our project for $3800, with 3 payments of $1300. We gave them the first payment, did not start on the job until 7 days later, the work was not completed. Did install about 7-9 floor joists, however they were not leveled, they were install incorrectly above the floor seal. The job will not pass inspection. The value of that work was $525. PPS refused to reimburse $1273.

I hired Jon and his team to put in flooring and fix the under board as we found they had damage. They worked on a very tight deadline as the house had been sold. They met the deadline and worked till after midnight fixing the root of the issue. The floors looked great and was done above expectations.

Piedmont Property Solutions of NC Response • Sep 11, 2018

Thank you

We needed a complete home makeover. We met with a few contractors and we just didn't feel comfortable. The owner of PPS sent his estimator over to give us a bid. He didn't try to sell us anything, but rather he showed us where we could save money and helped prioritize our repair list. We had a great experience with PPS. Jan and I highly recommend these folks

We enjoyed your project. We look forward to doing more work soon. Thanks for your good review.

Piedmont Property Solutions did an outstanding job on our rebuild after we had a pipe burst. Grayson was very professional, responsive and understanding. The office staff was in contact with me often with updates. The workers were timely, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. Items were completed professionally within the time frame in the contract. I will definitely keep them on my quick contacts for future jobs!

Hey Tracy thanks for the review I'm glad that you got the email for the review. We enjoyed your project will look forward to any future project that you and your family have. Don't forget to tell your sister to call me about the roof that she needs as well

Mr. John *** of Piedmont Property Solutions made an agreement with my home owners insurance provider to do the repairs to my home following a home fire that had occurred. However Mr. never completed my home repairs and has left me homeless after obtaining over $31,500 of the proceeds allotted from my insurance company in order to do the repairs needed to my home. He also signed an agreement with them that if the repairs were not completed by a certain date that the 2 of them had agreed on that in fact he would be responsible for paying for me a place to live until is wss repaired completely, however he has not done that either and therefore I have been homeless because of all of this.

Piedmont Property Solutions of NC Response • Jul 09, 2018

This is very simple the insurance company came out and inspected the work and paid me for what we had done. the customer was trying to get upgraded products and insurance work only pays you for what was in the house plus depreciated value. I never got money for work that I did not perform the bank sent someone out to inspect the job before they cut me a check the customer Lisa did not pay the bank paid me. I'm not even sure why I'm having this conversation or this complaint she is not homeless she was going to sell the home anyway. It's very upsetting did I tried to help this lady and go above and beyond when no one else would because of this and I still get bad reviews. I want to make this clear I was never paid for anything that my company did not do the bank paid me after I completed the work. I request this review be removed

I hired Piedmont property solutions in April 9th 2018 to do end caps and foundation work and put a front porch and back deck on my new home after doing the foundation they loaded up and left there trash and never completed the job.My wife and I had to take out 2 loans to pay a guy to finish and fix everything they left behind, I wouldn't recommend this company for any type job but it's your choice. My only advice don't pay them up front or they'll do you like they did me,they'll run off with your money 8,000 dollars

Piedmont Property Solutions of NC Response • Jul 08, 2018

I'm sorry that you left a bad review we did our job and passed inspection but you're trying to get my company to do stuff for free. I gave you a very good rate on the additional stuff but I refuse to do anything for someone for free when we've already completed a general scope of work to anyone that wants to know about this I have pictures of before and after and paid invoices to all my brick guys and lumber yards. It's a shame that you sue me we go to court and they dismiss it because you didn't have the proper stuff that you needed because we did our job it's so if anyone wants to see the proof that the case was dismissed I'll be more than happy to provide that as well

Customer Response • Jul 08, 2018

Piedmont Property Solutions DID NOT di work up to STATE OR COUNTY codes this company is a fraud and takes people's money we do have proof that the job they we're hired to do was NOT up to codes AND the ONLY reason it was dismissed in court is because the judge was wanting out of court the judge wouldn't even listen to or even look at the evidence BUT it's not over I will be posting pictures everywhere on the internet on how your company works AND if you have invoices and receipts why didn't you send us copies when we asked like we said it's not over with the courts AND we will be having the news media out here to our property to do an interview with us on your company and how you rip off people.

Piedmont Property Solutions of NC Response • Jul 13, 2018

I guess I'm going to have to get the city inspector involved. We did not pour the footing for the foundation I'm sorry whoever did that you need to be going after them not us we did our job and we pass inspection. I have all the proof that I've got over $8, 000 in this job and you still owe me $3, 500 originally we were supposed to do vinyl but you're County did not allow vinyl underpinning that's the reason that the job scope changed because we had to do brick. my suggestion is pay me the $3, 500 that you owe me and stop blasting my name we tried to do you a favor and do this job cheaper than any job we've ever done to help you out because you gave us a sad story about how you have no money but then you go and buy a camper. maybe you should sell your camper and finished paying me the money that you owe me for the job

I am the owner of *** Roofing and Repair and I hired Piedmont Property Solution and I sub some roofing work out to them and other jobs and all the customers that dealt with Piedmont Property Solutions were very happy with the service they got from them , and have continued to call and request them back for more work

I m call Piedmont Property Solutions to come out and look at a bathroom I needed redone. I finally talked my husband into doing this. They came out on time an I even got the estimate that day. I still have not got some from the other companies. Teddy was very smart and was done in no time. I called and they stared the next week. They was gone in a week and I have a amazing bathroom. I would not ever call anyone else...

Thank you for your review. I enjoyed your job. Look forward to more.

I gave John *** a check for $12,500 to build a room onto home. He did not get a permit and the county caught him. Now they are making him do it correct. Which all h3 purchased was the brick and concrete no more than $3000. I asked him because he kept putting this off. I asked for money back and he advised that his employees had took 30k while he was gone to buy another company called ***. He said I do no5 have the money. I am very upset because this was foe my grandmother so basically he stole a 70year old ladies money. I have asked him to return he advised he only owes us 9k because he had some material.

Piedmont Property Solutions of NC Response

Collected a deposit and started this project. The homeowner did not want a permit pulled and yes we ended up getting caught by the county and I solve that problem. The county wanted me to come out and Survey land and do all this extra paperwork so I did that they came out Public Health did their part I went back to the permit and now they're telling me I I got to get a structural engineer to design the roofing system because it's a mobile home not a modular home and I was told it was a modular home. I've got $3,500 in Brick and concrete work and another 2,000 in my labor and time estimates surveying the land and I owe the lady $7,000. I will pay her the $7,000 in installments because I do not have that money because of past employees I am paying back jobs as fast as I can I'm not the type of person not to take someone's money I will pay her back I owe her $7,000 and I'll tell anyone in the world that I'll pay her back in installments that can be agreed upon at a mediation or at an attorney's office or a agreement between me and her I'm not denying that I owe the lady money but I have done everything in my power as ask it's not my fault the county wants me to do all this extra stuff and she's not willing to wait I still would do the addition and none of this would be happening but now she's getting mad at me for something I cannot help. I'm more than willing to work with her the structural engineer the county and the governor if I need to I'm not denying anything all I'm saying is is that I'd rather do the addition as planned it's not my fault she wants to cancel if you go to Walmart and you pay a deposit and on layaway and then you cancel you do not get your money back and you don't get your product and this right here is is also similar I will pay her back as I get it or she takes me to court I'll find it and not paying nothing because she is cancelling the job she paid me a deposit and committed to the project I am doing everything that a contractor is supposed to do and working with the county as close as possible and I have proof of all that so I'm sorry that she's not happy but I'm not happy either because I have the project on my schedule and I'm excited about getting it done if anyone needs to contact me please contact me at *** I'll be more than happy to provide a invoice for everything that's been done with the remaining amount of $7000.

Customer Response

He is talking about contract and he has sent me 3 separate contracts. He agreed to pay the $9,000 back and Stevens had to come out after him to survey it from Madison and I had to pay for a new survey. Which the Rockingham County has wrote all of this down and they have the surveyor on file. He is taking money from a elderly women and now he does not have it and she has to find a new contractor to build her room. Everything is documented in detailed. This is a scam that is why he did not go through the county. He figured he could build it before county got word of it. If he is a contractor he knew to get a permit. I paid him to do a job and it is not anyone's fault but his that he was trying to work without county knowledge. I have talked to the county they said any contractor would have contacted them and got exactly every step in the process. He owes $9,000 that he agreed. The Attorney General has been notified and until the $9,000 is paid this will not be dropped for him to do this to another elderly person.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards

We asked Piedmont to lay 50 feet of #6 UF 18” deep to a 12’ X 16’ shed, install several 120 outlets, a 240 outlet, an air conditioner, sorrit vents, and insulate it.
When I said “It is just a shed” I never imagined what shoddy work a professional would possibly do. There was no supervisor present on the job. The #10-2 wire from the house was buried at about nine inches. The pegboard was not straight, had rough edges and did not fit neatly around joists and such. The outlets were at the floor instead of workbench high. The insulation was improperly installed and large sections were missing. All the scrap materials were left on the site.
The owner said he was “shocked” at the pictures I sent and said he would redo the work. He sent the same workmen to redo the job. This time a supervisor showed up in the morning and for a short while mid-day, but did not inspect the job at the end. The work was improved, but still shoddy.
We asked the owner for about 20% refund on the work and he literally (email) laughed at us. “LOL” On further complaint the owner said he wanted nothing further to do with this job and we assured him the feeling was mutual. We would not recommend this company for any kind of work.
