I would highly recommend this business to anyone. I have bought two vehicles from them and both vehicles have gotten me on multiple road trips to and from Florida and VA. The only reason why I do not have the vehicles now is due to accidents. But to have two vehicles to offer great comfort and reliablity means a lot.

Review: On May 22nd I had a car payment that was due of $250.00 and I told them I would be late according to my monthly financial circumstances like I do with them every month according to how my check post at the end of the month. Well on June 1st, 2013 Piedmont Van and Truck came to my residence and reposed my car and charged me a $300.00 repossession fee along with my $250.00 car payment and along with some other unknown fees. I feel they were wrong because of this and they are always ripping people off and they need to be shut down because they give you all these broke down cars and high mileage. They charged me a repossession fee and towing fee and they did not tow anything. They just asked for the keys and drove off.Desired Settlement: They should of gave me a chance because I really needed my car and they made things more harder for me when I became disabled to work but still continued to make my payments.

This letter is to answer complaint ID [redacted]. On 2/5/13 a contract was wrote up for a 2001 Toyotl Camry with payments of $250.00 monthly starting 3/22/13 and on the contract the buyer signs that the car would go up for repossession if payment is 3 days late or if full coverage insurance has lapsed. On 3/21/13 we received a notice from [redacted] Insurance that her insurance had been cancelled. We called and spoke to the buyer and she stated that she changed to [redacted] Insurance and did not have full coverage. We then informed again that she was to keep full coverage insurance on the car while under contract. On 4/23/13 we received notice of cancellation from [redacted] Insurance. We again called the buyer and explained that she had to keep full coverage insurance on the car and she stated that she had insurance so again we called [redacted] Insurance and they stated that it was cancelled but that she could be reinstated. We tried to call the buyer bacck on this date to inform her of what needed to be done and the number that we had for her was no longer in service. We tried calling multiple times during this month and no service. Then on 5/22/13 her payment was due and we continued calling but still no service. We never received a call from the buyer nor contact of an kind and on 6/5/13 we repossessed the car. The vehicle was repossessed due to as of our knowledge there has been no insurance on the car since 4/23/13 (44 days) and payment was also 14 days late. The fees due are $250 payment, $300 repossession fee and $25 late fee which are all posted throughout our office: reinstatement of insurance is also required. No tow fee was ever added or implied. On 6/5/13 after the car was repossessed the buyer said that she would in in on 6/7/13 with the fees that were due and we have not heard from her since.
