I am responding to the above referenced complaint.I was able to ascertain who waited on you that morning by questioning employees and through our video recording. The clerk who waited on you has been with *** *** for many years. I am sorry you felt you were treated unfairly.
I apologize that you felt any way but comfortable and welcome as a customer who has been coming to *** ***The clerk has apologized to me for anything she may have done to make you uncomfortable. We are confused about the issue of "day olds." Our day old baked goods are given away and never sold Our video recording shows that the EBT machine took a long time for the transaction as it sometimes does and that our clerk could have been frustrated with the machine. The clerk reported that the machine was giving her a hard time as it sometimes doesThe issue with food stamps, EBT payments, is that prepaying an order to be picked up another day is not allowed as it is against EBT rules if paying with an EBT card. We think that you may have asked if you could have prepaid with your EBT cardThe clerk thinks she was trying to explain to you about this prepay policy.Because of your feeling embarrassed, we have put into place a rule that if a clerk is having trouble with the EBT machine, as we often do, that they refer to the machine as the "other" machine when asking for help or when referring to it for any other reason. We do not want to make any customer feel not welcome and wanted.Again, I apologize for my clerk making you feel uncomfortable. I would hope that you would accept a dozen half moons from *** *** for any inconvenience or issue you may have with us. Please contact me so that I can arrange for you to get these goodies
