Pig N Whistle BBQ Restaurant

A friend and I went to this establishment to eat on Sunday, January 26, 2014. We both ordered tea. We ordered two appetizers. He ordered a BBQ plate and I ordered the Idaho Pig.. when we received our bill, nothing looked off about it. I paid the bill, adding a $6 tip, and left. When I got home, as I was entering my receipts, this one did not add up to the total I was given. The receipt looked like this (& attached): [redacted] Seat 1 [redacted] 2 Tea - Sweet 3.78 1 Fried Pickles 5.99 1 Hushpuppy Bask 2.99 1 Sand meal deal 7.39 1 Idaho Pig 6.99 Subtotal 31.13 Tax 2.88 Total 34.01 When I do the math on this ticket, the subtotal should be $27.14. The ticket says "Seat 1", making me believe there is another ticket somewhere that I did not receive. But everything we ordered appears on this receipt. If taxed correctly on that amount, the tax would have been $2.51, making the correct total $29.65. My bill should have been less than $30. I'm not sure if the server was the one that added this, if it was a legitimate charge or if I was just stolen from. I tried to call the owner every day this week, and left at least 3 messages for him to call me back. They would not call me back. All I wanted was an explanation to the extra charge. It's possible it's legit. But it's also possible that the server just tacked on a little for himself and maybe management doesn't know. But they wouldn't call back to explain what it was.Product_Or_Service: FoodOrder_Number: 2900Desired SettlementI want an explanation for the extra charge. I have the receipts above & where my cc was charged/tip was added. I want an explanation why the subtotal doesn't add up. If this was a wrongful charge, I want a refund. And if this is something the server just tacked on for himself, shame on him & I want a refund AND his tip back. My daughter is a server. I am aware that the min wage for servers is a crappy $2.13/hour. But stealing is not how that is handled. I have a copy of the message to verify this. (the copy of this message is attached to this response)documented calls were made to the incorrect number [redacted] on january 28th and january 28th and voice mails were left both times, but of course there was no communication due to the incorrect number furnished to me. There is no blame here just unfortunate the situation was not resolved there and then.Regarding Different TotalsThe charge on the credit card is correct. The way it happened is as follows: the item that does not appear on the printed receipt is a cheesy baked potato. $3.99. The Sandwich meal deal comes with two side dishes that are normally no charge therefore they do not print on the payment portion of the check. However, the cheesy baked can be ordered as a substitution side and costs $3.99 as is stated on the menu. Since ordered as a side it was not itemized and didn't get itemized on the bill although the $3.99 did get included in the total.This is the first such encounter we have had with this item in this manner and have since made it appear on the bill whether individually ordered or as a side item.There is a fraud feature in the point of sale system that will not allow a server to add items to a check that are invalid. They are printed in a seperate part of the restaurant and others must make any food that is printed there. only a manager can intervene to change this process and once changed there is a required paper trail that documents all changes of this nature. none of these changes appeared in this situation.The side item of cheesy baked potato does appear in the food record for January 26 2014. This indicates that it was made in the kitchen.
