My complaint falls under multiple categories. On Sunday May 5th I purchased a miniature dachshund puppy from this business, he was 10 weeks old and I spent over $ 900 dollars on the puppy that day. Before I even left the premises the sales woman noticed he had a "snoty/runny" nose but told me not to worry about it---he was on the small side but she assured me that it was because he was a mini. After taking him to my own vet we found that he was very sick with a cough, pneumonia, and ear infection, blood in stool, worms, and he was underweight to boot. All of this in the first week of having our dog! He was not around other dogs after we took him home, and he was cared for very well- we followed all instructions from our vet, and gave him medication that was needed. The dog seemed to have a new problem each day, the medication seemed to help a bit but he appeared to have some serious digestive/stomach issues which were causing the low weight and blood in stool. We had to give our dog bad today Sunday May 19th because we were worried he was becoming so sick, after expensive vet visits so early, I know that the dog was sold to me with pre-existing issues, which my veteranrian agreed. The business agreed to take him back and refund me my money, but the problem is much greater than that. This is a life- which was not properly cared for. The building itself needs serious updates, better care for the dogs, and likely better sources for where they are getting the dogs. The customer service is lacking as I clearly was not well informed. I got my money back but lost my puppy unfairly because he was sold to me with pre-existing conditions, this was emotionally devastating for my * year old son and I.
