Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/05) */
The United States Postal Service typically returns to sender 1st Class mail that they don't know what to do with. This is typical with incorrect addresses or forwarding instructions that have expired. Since March 2015, USPS has returned 3 items...

of mail to my business that they could not deliver to the addressed person. The process works.
My business is based on getting paid. Most businesses are. If I don't mail contracts, my clients can't pay me. I mail contracts to every client as not doing so would cost me money. That would be ridiculous.
In this particular instance, I mailed a contract in March when this person needed a storage unit. The USPS did not return this contract so apparently, they were able to deliver it as addressed.
In April, the client called and requested a new lease as he 'never received it'. So I sent another one. In my 14 years of running our company, this is not uncommon behavior with people that struggle to pay their bills. It is easy to claim they never got the bill. Then it can't be their fault, right?
On June 3, 2015, I sent a collection letter to the client. I have a Certificate of Mailing from the USPS. That shows that I mailed a letter to that person at the address given. This letter was apparently delivered since I did not get it returned by the USPS. 3 for 3!
It is true that I have not returned many phone calls to the complainant. I tend not to call people that have an attitude or that I believe fail to exhibit honesty. It's my business. I work with 100+ clients every month. I am real easy to get along with as [redacted] as you are polite and honest. Clearly not the case in this instance.
None of the 3 items I mailed to this client were returned, yet he claims that he never received any of them. I have had other clients mail returned to me in the last 3 months so I am sure the USPS still performs as I believe. Either the USPS is hiding his mail or maybe he just didn't want to pay. Either way, an auction is scheduled for July 18.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Because he has never talked me since the day I called about the storage unit and I had called several times trying to reach him about not reviving any mail from him and never stated that in voicemail so he could have resent contract and I have checked with post office to see if he had ever sent a certified letter to me and they said they have no records of it so if he sent it it was not to me or my address and he has never spoke to me on phone since day I contacted him about getting the unit and I was not rude or anything in voice mails just asked him to call me about my unit . And give me address so I can pay bill and for over two months no call or mail . I cAnt pay a bill when I can't find any address for the business even online . And the lock has been on my unit very shortly after I contact him to get unit . Therefore he either messed up on his records of when I wanted it or is just trying to steal stuff and sell it for auction to make more money than a months rent . And he couldn't have sent 3 letters and done everything he claims to have done in just a week or two especially since he never answered a call for me to tell him like he stated I didn't get a contract . And since I have left voice mail after voicemail telling him to contact me about the matter since I didn't get anything in mail and stated I didn't know if he had wrong address or what happed to call me and we could straitened it out and instead he text me to say he's selling my stuff instead of contacting me to resolve the problem .
