Pikes Peak Physical Medicine

This office newly hired a Dr. Jeffrey J[redacted]. While the doctor has been in network with my insurance, his group of Pikes Peak Physical Medicine has not. They refuse to bill my appointment as Dr. J[redacted] and want me to use private pay-as though I was not insured. I called and verified his "in network" status while he was with [redacted]. Upon verifying this, I booked an appointment. For some reason, between my scheduling appointment and actually having my appointment, he jumped ship and decided to work with Pikes Peak Physical Medicine instead. My insurance says that his job movement and re-licensing issues has caused this problem. I am being told I am now stuck with the bill, even though it is standard practice to write off the balance beyond my co-pay when the doctor changes groups. I should mention that at time of appointment, no one in Dr. J[redacted] (or Pikes Peak Physical)office pointed out any problem with accepting my insurance card and collecting my $[redacted] co-pay.
