Review: I am POA for my mother. My mother, [redacted] took car to Pilgrims Car Care Center for appointment on 12/3/13 for winterization of 2002 [redacted] which has 56,906 miles. She wanted oil change, oil filter and antifreeze checked. Total garage bill came to $606.12. Parts were engine oil, brake fluid, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter, ignition wires, antifreeze coolant, fuel filter and shop supplies which came to $304.73. Labor for spark plugs, fuel filter, replace coolant, replace brake fluid, rotate tires, hazardous materials came to $267.08. Garage states that they asked mother since car was close to 60,000 miles if she wanted it checked. Mother states that they asked her but she told them she could not afford to have the extra work done, just wanted oil change, oil filter and antifreeze checked. After waiting 2 1/2 hours on car, bill was $606.12. My mother is 80 years old and on a fixed income. I feel that the garage took advantage of an 80 year old woman ripped her off . I went down to the garage and told them that I feel as though they owe her some money back for service they performed, which she did not request them to do. They would not refund her any money and I told them that I am going to file a complaint.Desired Settlement: I would like the garage to refund my mother for service done on her car which she did not request them to do
