PILLAR TO POST HOME INSPECTION SERVICES

Review: I had a home inspection performed by pillar and post home inspections. The inspector never entered the attic to inspect which requires the removal of the closet doors / shelf. He claims he inspected the attic and performed a great home inspection for me. When a week after closing the rubber vent stack that was allowing light to come into the attic leaked ruining the ceiling in the master bathroom. It cost $350 to replace the rubber boots on all the vent stacks which all had the same damage to them we just haven't seen any damage on the interior of our house yet. I tried to contact the company about the issue to see if they would stand behind there work but to no avail. I spoke with the owner who said he would call me the next day and never responded. Then I spoke to Jim who performed the inspection and he stated that he would contact the next day and 4 days go by with no answer. His response that the roof requires regular maintenance was adequate to identify the problem.Desired Settlement: I spent over $800 for this inspection company just to get a $350 roof bill and a water stained ceiling. I think they should cover the $350 for the roofing expense and $50 for spackle and paint for the repair.
