That's fine, [redacted], as weh have discussed!  However, as I mentioned to you, I realized I had paid for part of the repair in cash ($110 of it), so I am asking for a total of $340 for the repair.  Because Armando does not offer receipts, I had forgotten about that, but do have a paper at home...

with figures on it detailing this, including notes from him on figures. [redacted]

Complaint [redacted] We have actually spoke to [redacted] from [redacted] in fact [redacted] spoke to him whom said that the calls were when her car broke down which then later on he spoke to [redacted] saying Ms. [redacted] does not want to have the car checked out. Ms. [redacted] was told by [redacted] that [redacted] and he did speak which I just spoke to today 8/15/17 at 11:55 I have these phone records and old phone records as well no problem on that. She also spoke with Tim whom no longer works there but he can be reached. We are not fighting the labor if we are at fault she can come pick up her money but our labor was 30 days she hasn't got her car checked which she can have it checked and pay later on. Right now as I see she keeps changing prices and her labor was $230 and $130 not what she's stating. I sent in copies of everything including the [redacted] Parts invoice. I Mr.A[redacted] not A[redacted] would suggest taking me to court because all this lying and making up numbers is no good it's not going to fix the problem it might just make it worse maybe for me or her who knows. I would also like to state that Ms. [redacted] was present when my mechanics were replacing her parts so saying that I kept new parts and didn't install them all in nonsense to every customer we show them the faulty or broken parts in the box where the new part came in. Mr. [redacted] says they are experts in Subaru's so he says that the cam could have been at fault. Also you can see the difference in and old and new belt and I don't think a drive from Espanola to Douglas the belt would have worn out and got old. These are the reasons we would like the car to be checked out. Due to the receipt Ms. [redacted] agreed that we would put everything on one receipt later on because she was to come in for the replacement of more parts which never happened and also she was told we don't give invoices if tax is not paid which she did not pay in that case she was given later on a deposit receipt for both jobs. Her other concern was me not being at my shop at 8:30 and my crew was whom I pay to be there if I cannot be there and yes they were confused because we have a lot of work and we don't book appointments its first come first serve because not everyone keeps appointments and of course we need money. In regards to the test drive like I said before if the parts were not installed properly I would have not been able to test it out the car would have not even started and if it did it would not run properly. In conclusion to all this we just need to have the car checked out we gave her plenty chances to bring the car here and have it checked out she refused. The money she used for gas ride a new car or rental she could have brought it here have it checked out and done everything in our hands to have fixed the problem.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I was told by [redacted]motive of Douglas,WY that Mr. (Armando) A[redacted]. who owns the shop, Pima's Auto, did not call actually call them, nor did [redacted], his Spanish-English interpreter. [redacted]s's owner, said he left 4 messages and got no response!  I believe Armando is going only on the bill receipt from the diagnosis I received from [redacted].  It has taken me awhile to figure out what to do in this situation.  I was very lucky to have the money (on a credit card) to have the vehicle towed about 40 miles to the shop, and to have the diagnosis made.   I was also lucky to have a friend who returned me to Espanola in his RV.  (I did not charge much in extra gas -- more than what a car takes, though -- for that in the statement Armando refers to.) (I have not been working since mid-March '17: the shop knew my funds were low and I have not been working -- that is a big reason why I chose their shop, with labor at $60/hr instead of $72 or higher, which area shops charge.  Also the reason I bought my own parts.  [redacted] has agreed to reimburse me for the timing belt/water pump kit as a customer satisfaction courtesy.  Because I do not yet have the faulty parts, we don't know if they were defective, but they have essentially replaced them for me in good faith by reimbursing me for those parts.  So now I am out the labor, which was $230 plus cash of $110, on July 10th, a Monday.  I've also incurred many other costs in the situation, for example, I had to have the U-Haul tow hitch taken off so I can put it on a new car.  I've had to rent a car at $239 a day from Avis/Santa Fe Airport to obtain a new used Subaru in CO Springs, plus the cost of the new car itself.  I won't detail all the other expenses here, but do that later in a lawsuit aside from this complaint.  Mr. A[redacted] can see that the cost of $70/day for a rental car is low, when compared to $239, which I had to end up paying since I could not get into SF until after 6 pm to pick up the car.  It has been very difficult to live 5 miles out of Espanola, in Alcalde, and to do my needed errands, and now school is starting: I am a teacher who needs daily transportation 7 miles (and back) to Velarde.  I have been discussing the situation with other mechanics.  I believe now that the timing belt was probably not replaced, actually -- perhaps the shop kept some of the new parts and left some of the old ones on -- and also that the cam is not involved in this type of Subaru engine.  Instead, with the old timing belt still on, it's possible a bearing seized and caused the bent valves, etc.  I am planning to have the car looked at by another mechanic eventually -- [redacted] charges $90/hr -- and then will compose my Complaint in Justice Court.  I will find out what the cause was, so Armando can rest assured in that regard.  Right now, though, I would like my refund of $340 for the labor charged on 7/10/17.  I did not receive a receipt for the work and had to ask for one later, after the malfunction.  I also noticed that Armando was not at the shop at 8:30 on 7/10; instead, his crew was there, and they were confused about my car coming in for that particular work -- perhaps it had not even been scheduled.  Armando came later in the day, and told me he took it for a test drive to make sure it worked properly.  I was passing someone at 85 mph when the problem occurred: perhaps he did not test it at high speed.  (I could have had a much worse accident than just the malfunction, too.)

To whom this may concern This letter is regarding [redacted]'s vehicle which I repaired 6-15-17 for a the valve cover gaskets and a tune-up labor was $130. She also came later on to get the timing kit and the left C/V axle replaced and labor for that was $230. She bought all her parts I didn't diagnost the car because she said she knew what it needed so we changed everything. She then came back I believe the 27th of July requesting we buy her a new motor, gas for her trip that was not complete, gas for her friends RV, food, lodging, towing she also wants us to pay her 10/dollars a day for her being without her vehicle and now is changed to 70/dollars a day. Which personally is an insane amount of money. When she came in we told her if she can bring the vehicle and we would have it checked out to see what was the cause of her car breaking down and if I was at fault I would gladly repair it for her she refused we then told her to have [redacted]motive check it out for her and she refused that. We then called [redacted]motive to hear their diagnosis and said all they could tell us is that 6 theeth were off on the timing and that something internal on the motor could have caused the cam to break. [redacted] says I put the timing wrong but if that was the case the car would have not even started even with one tooth wrong the car would have never left the shop. Now [redacted] says she refuses to have the car checked out so until that is performed I can not give her warranty on labor because I don't know if it was my installation or if it was a part that was bad that she bought. Now I gave her many options she refused them all now she is trying to charge me $4445. Now if I am at fault I will refund her the $340 but I will not be working on her car.
