I am rejecting this response because:When I called the dealership and told them of the problem on saturday July 16th they told me to bring the truck to them and they would have their mechanic look at it that dayI drove miles there and then they told me they couldn't do anything until mondayI tod them there was no way I could keep driving back to Grand Junction and we agreed to have a shop of their choice look at it in montroseThe shop was obviously on their payroll and very unclean and unprofessionalAfrer going there I went to another shop to get an alignment because the front tires on the truck were already showing uneven wear and I didnt want to ruin themThis shop told me the ball joints were technically within specs but would require replacing within a short time. I feel that I am being very reasonable just asking for the dealership to reimburse me $for an alignmentThey should be paying for the ball joints to be replaced but I know that would never happen. As far as the dealership saying they discounted the truck $that is just haggling that anyone would expect when buying a used vehicleWe had an agreement that the front end on the truck would be fixed before I took delivery and the dealership fell flat on that promise

I am rejecting this response because:
They told me to bring the truck to them on Saturday and never told me that nobody was available to work on it until I got thereI had to pay money out of my pocket to fix something that was already done according to themPine country owes me $for a front end alignment and they should be paying $for ball joints I can have a mechanic write a letter saying the ball joints are bad if I need toI have the receipt for the front end alignment if it is necessary.

Wednesday, August 31, 2016 To whom it may concern: Once again as noted in the previous response. Customer was told ahead of time that we did not have any tech's available on Saturdays to look at the truck. In an attempt to work with the customer we set up an appointment with a trusted independent shop in his hometown. Once again the truck was found to be well within specs on the ball joints. We will not pay for another alignment as we paid for one the day before the truck was purchased. I have included documents to confirm this as well as documentation stating that the truck was sold as is. Complaint ID [redacted]

July 28, 2016To whom it may concern:In reference to complaint ID [redacted]Prior to purchase of the vehicle customer had requested that we do an alignment on the vehicle. Also that the front right tire seemed to have some unwanted movement. Upon inspection the drag link seemed to need repaired. We...

replaced it in our shop and afterwards sent it out for an alignment. The alignment shop found all front end parts to be within safe and acceptable tolerances. They will not perform an alignment on a vehicle that is outside of recommended tolerances. At this stage of the process two mechanics had inspected the ball joints. Customer drove the truck and completed the purchase on the vehicle AS-IS. He also received a $900.00 discount.Shortly after purchasing the truck customer called saying he thought the truck was pulling to the left. We notified him that we would like him to bring the truck back so we could take a look at it. Also that the alignment was warrantied with the alignment shop. Our suspicion was that the tires may be causing the issues as they had just been rotated and require a little driving to even back out. Before bringing the truck back for us to take a look at it he had taken it to a tire shop. We have had several past experiences with that particular shop attempting to sell work/parts when not needed. This shop told the customer that all four ball joints needed replaced and an alignment needed to be performed. Customer called on Friday and said he wanted to bring the truck in the next day. This was on a Saturday and the customer was told that we do not have any technicians that work on the weekends, and the alignment shop could not get it in until Monday. He came in anyway and was very hostile. Demanding that we write him a check on the spot for $1,236.65. More than double what it actually should cost for us to replace the parts and perform the labor. I repeatedly told him that we would like to work with him but he would have to calm down. During our conversation he was told that we knew a trustworthy shop in his hometown that we could contact to look at the truck. First thing on Monday we contacted the repair shop in his town and they agreed to take a look at it. Upon inspection he also found the ball joints to all be within recommended tolerances. This was the third tech to confirm such. Not trusting the mechanic the customer told us that he took it to a fourth mechanic and had the same results. That the truck was within tolerances. At that time he told me that he wanted was us to pay for an alignment since the ball joints were within tolerances. Because we had just done an alignment on the truck we did not agree to do such. It was not necessary as it had just been performed. We work hard to treat people fairly, that being said we must be cautious to prevent being taken advantage of. With four mechanics confirming the ball joints were ok, (three of which were at our expense) also performing an alignment on the truck, and giving a discount of $900.00 we had to draw the line.

I am rejecting this response because: I have nothing else to add beyond what has already been stated.
