After my husband and I's experience with Pine View, I find it very hard to believe that all of the other one star reviews on their Google profile are fakeMy belief is really that Pine View is dodging responsibility and passing the buck and the blame to someone besides themselves, the only thing they seem to be good at, much like a good con artist would It started out of taking an interest with tiny houses, as we had nowhere to live, and needing somewhere safe for our kids to goWe saw this new company in Lexington VA and thought, that looks nice, let's try thatI couldn't find pricing anywhere on their website or Facebook page and to me that looked shady, so I called and emailedFinally someone got back to me, but they were wishy-washy about pricing because their buildings are "custom made." And of course when the sales representative (Jimmy W [redacted] ) was trying to get my vote, my husband had to step away to take care of our toddlerHe of course lied to me about the quality of these buildings much as the brochure did, telling me they would make a great tiny house, that our porch would be an addition, that it wouldn't take anything away from the square footage we would be gettingThis in particular irritated my husbandOur sales representative seemed to have absolutely no idea what he was doing or talking about, did not know how to navigate the order in the computer system, and had to make phone call after phone call, to other ill informed people in management, to try to get us what we wantedHe called us almost every day asking the same questions over and over about our order, because he didn't understand which way we wanted it to face of which color roof we wanted, or where we wanted the windowsHe had seemed very happy to get my large down payment of $3,though (half of what our new tiny house cost, half of $6,444.00)It seems the company enjoys getting easy money for crappy quality buildings that they'll slap a "custom made" title ontoBecause he was an old friend, I trusted that he wasn't ripping us offI couldn't have been more wrong We were told the building would take to business days to be built and then shipped to us, so we patiently waitedWhen weeks came and went, we started to get uneasyWe were still homeless and had nowhere to liveOur kids were in a bad environmentWe were frustrated because I had forked out our kids' college savings for this building and this company was still confused as to what we wanted, and it still wasn't done, or at our house yet? It took a couple more weeks for them to deliver it, and that was after my husband told them that if they didn't bring it within the month, that we wanted our money backI was pretty perturbed too, because it DID take them over a month to get this glorified cardboard box built and shipped to our yardAs one of many cherries on top, we had been told also that I'd only need about $to $in cash for cinder blocks for the tiny house to sit upon, that we would have to pay the delivery guys for themIn reality, it took us about $in cash money that we did not haveAnother sugar coated lie We first started noticing problems with the quality of the house on the first day it was finally on the propertyAs pretty as the design was, it was apparent that it had not been finishedNails were not flush with the wood in many places (nails were even sticking out!), splinters were everywhere because the wood on the porch and canisters was so rough from where no one had taken the time to sand it downThere was a small crack in the window (to which snotty misogynistic Bo W [redacted] later told me was just an epoxy as he talked down to me and my husband), the "loft" over the porch had some "plastic wrap" wood that could fall in if even simple insulation was put up there, it was so thinOur door was said to have been a standard door but someone has literally cut it shorter, and it looked so uglyOur roof looked terrible against this building (which was way smaller than what we had ordered)Our porch, though was said to not take up square footage but that was to be an addition, was neither of theseWe had been thoroughly jipped in every way, and my husband was livid that they had lied to me, ripping me off like is usually done to women because we are women and men think they can easy take advantage of us because apparently we are stupid*rolls eyes*Trying to make the best of things, still new in my excitement, I tried to talk him down, that maybe it's not so bad, maybe it's an easy fix Our door frame cracked within the week after useI have never seen anything like itThe farm house we live in now was built in 1933, almost years ago, and still has all of the original doorsNot once has this ever happened to themBefore we set to paint the floor (because it was so covered with splinters and our year old son had already ended up with splinters or so in one day from walking in this crap house), my husband had to fill in over holes with wood fillerNo, no, not regular old wood rings or something smallI'm talking actual holes from wood that was cut, and no one building it seemed to care that these tree rings had literally popped out of the holesIt took him over separate days just to fill in all of the said holes with wood filler, wait for it to dry, sand it down, then put primer on the floorHe also had to put wood filler around many nails that were sticking out, including nails in the double doors, because they were extremely unsafe for small childrenHe put primer over that tooWood filler was also put through a hole that had been drilled all the way through the floor under the double doors where the bolt was supposed to latchThis hole irritated us both because it let bugs in, and we have plenty of hornets and wasps around the propertyWe could understand if it had been drilled just so far so the door would latchBut all the way through the floor? Are you kidding me? Later on, an irritable Bo reprimanded us for this, talking down to us in his wake*scoffs [redacted] This may be a storage building to some people, but our sales representative, Jimmy W [redacted] , sold it to us as a tiny houseYes, a houseSo we were told this thing would be actual quality, that it would be custom made just for usYeahUtter B.Sright? More like chip board and the cheapest plywood you can get all slapped together by an obviously drunk crew, then given some fancy little deal of approval by someone who obviously didn't look at it or didn't care, because they were probably drunk tooMy husband works in construction, and he could have done a better jobHe's told me repeatedly that if he turned something like this building in to his boss, that he would have been fired right there on the spotBut this, as said, glorified cardboard box, was sold to us for $6,when I literally found a shell just like it, same size, on eBay for $2,No, I'm not kidding So then we painted the floorIt looked nice enough because my husband did a great job, though he had to do coats because he had to try to cover up where the holes had beenAnyway, within a few days and a major rain storm, there were soft spots in our "quality plywood" floorThis means that because it had gotten wet from the rain, that it was literally starting to fall apartThe first soft spots we noticed were right inside, in front of our front doorYes, our ugly cut-down front door with the cheaply made, already broken door frameSo now there were rotting places in the floor! A while later, I noticed there was another soft spot in front of the double doorsAt that point I wasn't surprised by anything that was wrong with this crappy buildingI just added it to my mental list of issues with it The more and more my husband and I thought about it, the more we realized this was a scam, that this was a rip off, that we deserved a refund and we didn't want to deal with this company anymoreSo I made some phone calls When I first called, Candace sounded so regretful on the phone, so sorryShe said she was going to have someone call me back so we could "solve this problem." I told her from the gI was just looking for a refundIt took several hours for someone to callBo W [redacted] , the Company Representative, though sort of polite on the phone, also sounded irritatedHe said he would call again so he could "come and look at it." I told him the same issues, and he repeated that he "would have to come and look at it." WhateverHe called again later to mark a time, and by then my husband and I had been talking and were ever increasingly frustratedWe did not want to speak to Bo, because he couldnt make up his mind about when we were going to get all this doneHe did not seem to want to help his customers Bo came to the property the next day or so and from the very start, ignored me, talked over both my husband and I, put us down, dismissed our claims, and even told us there was "nothing wrong with the house," that "it would be an easy fix!" He seemed to have no respect for our claims, for the property we were living on, and actually threw the Pine View catalog down towards me on his way looking around, when we were showing him where it had actually been sold to us AS A TINY HOUSEHe of course dismissed this as well, telling us we should "be more careful next time you buy something," that "these are not tiny houses, they are storage buildings, and they don't come fully built like you thought they would, Miss," as if I was too stupid to know, that duh, I had bought a shell of a building without realizing it! Shoot, as far as Bo W [redacted] was concerned, I was so stupid as a woman that I thought I had bought a fully furnished house! I vividly remember the day I bought it, how Jimmy W [redacted] had sold it to me, joking that the flowers in the picture came with itI could feel him making fun of me then, just as I felt Bo making fun of me nowWomen sure are dumb aren't they, Pine View? I told him to get off our property, and to know damn well we wanted ALL of our money back and wanted this piece of crap goneHe seemed to tuck his tail between his legs and flee, saying, "I think I need to leave." How dare he talk the way he did to my husband and I? He did it to both of us, and even my mother saw it all, how disrespectful this guy was"I've worked at this company for years," he spoke condescendingly, making it known that he knew so much more about construction than my husband did (my husband does a hell of a lot better job at his construction job, I'll tell you that) A couple days later, Candace called, telling us she was sorry, and for us to call her backWhen I called her back, no matter what line I tried to reach her at, it was cut offIt was obvious to me they did not want to talk to us or help us, but they sure enjoyed treating us like crap and ripping us offI was madI called over times, each time getting static when I tried to leave a messageIt looked very sketchy to me, even more so nowBut hell, everything about this company was sketchy to us from the beginning, and we'd only dealt with them for an entirety of months! When she called me back later, she was telling me how sorry she was, and beating around the bush again, about this or that, mentioning that she didnt know exactly how much in pifees they would take out, or how much in rent, because she didnt have the numbers in front of herApparently she wasnt ready for this phone call, and didnt yet understand clearly that I WAS DONE and wanted my MONEY BACKShe had to call me back yet again with the numbers after a while, and I was very mad again by thenThen she told me it would only be $and some change I would getting back, like I had no choice in the matterI told her the entire story againShe was apologizing yet didnt sound sorry at at allI told her that wasnt right, my family and I were struggling and we should not be punished for Pine View's mistakesShe said they would come and get the building and that later on I would get my refund, some time in the mail, and she said that "if for any reason anyone was negligent and didnt get the money back" to me, that then I could take it to court or "do whatever it is you need to do." I said, "Excuse me?" Making it clear that in that case, they could forget taking the building until I got my check back as promisedI was already getting $less in my refund because Pine View sucks and failed at their business dealings, leading to this, and now she was acting like I wouldnt get it at all? I told her absolutely not, you can forget thatI told her that I would get my money back either before or during the transaction or they werent taking the buildingAnd do you know what that woman did? She told me that if I would not comply that she would make sure that the law enforcement was involved and that what I was doing was a felony! I had no fear, just sarcastic laughter and angerI told that woman she could go ahead and make my day, because I already have TWO felonies under my belt, ladyAt that point she probably realized just how serious I was, that they werent taking that building without my money back or a fightIt's one thing to rip us off, and then another to threaten usI told her to bring it onShe tried to say she wasnt threatening me, and I told her yes she wasAt that point we ended the phone call, myself seething and being ready for the fight they wanted to bring, whatever that may beAnd her saying again, that she would try to "solve this problem." When she finally called back, she told me that the day they picked up the building, the delivery guy would have the $check in his hand to give to meI told them that it better beI was thinking in my head, I am not playing games, Pine View When the pick up guy came the following week, he pulled up in our yard fiercely, and saying nothing, got out of his truck, handed the check roughly to my husband as I was inside taking care of the children, and then proceeded to retrieve Pine View's precious buildingHe tore up some of the cinder blocks I had raked over $in cash for, and even slammed the door shut in the building, which made the door completely fall off the frame and just hang from itHe seemed like another jerk, but I'd say that just about everybody who works for Pine View isMy husband and I sat and watched him take the building (not even having it secured all the way onto the truck), and then speed off down the bumpy drivewayMy husband said, that as violent as his driving was down the driveway, he would have laughed if that stupid building had fallen off and broken into pieces I havent heard one word from the company since, and I hope I never do againThe moral of the story is this: Dont buy from Pine View BuildingsI repeat; DONT BUY FROM PINE VIEW BUILDINGSSave your money for something that's actually worth it!

More like chip board and the cheapest plywood you can get all slapped together by an obviously drunk crew, then given some fancy little deal of approval by someone who obviously didn't look at it or didn't care, because they were probably drunk tooMy husband works in construction, and he could have done a better jobHe's told me repeatedly that if he turned something like this building in to his boss, that he would have been fired right there on the spotBut this, as said, glorified cardboard box, was sold to us for $6,when I literally found a shell just like it, same size, on eBay for $2,No, I'm not kidding
So then we painted the floorIt looked nice enough because my husband did a great job, though he had to do coats because he had to try to cover up where the holes had beenAnyway, within a few days and a major rain storm, there were soft spots in our "quality plywood" floorThis means that because it had gotten wet from the rain, that it was literally starting to fall apartThe first soft spots we noticed were right inside, in front of our front doorYes, our ugly cut-down front door with the cheaply made, already broken door frameSo now there were rotting places in the floor! A while later, I noticed there was another soft spot in front of the double doorsAt that point I wasn't surprised by anything that was wrong with this crappy buildingI just added it to my mental list of issues with it
The more and more my husband and I thought about it, the more we realized this was a scam, that this was a rip off, that we deserved a refund and we didn't want to deal with this company anymoreSo I made some phone calls
When I first called, Candace sounded so regretful on the phone, so sorryShe said she was going to have someone call me back so we could "solve this problem." I told her from the gI was just looking for a refundIt took several hours for someone to callBo W***, the Company Representative, though sort of polite on the phone, also sounded irritatedHe said he would call again so he could "come and look at it." I told him the same issues, and he repeated that he "would have to come and look at it." WhateverHe called again later to mark a time, and by then my husband and I had been talking and were ever increasingly frustratedWe did not want to speak to Bo, because he couldnt make up his mind about when we were going to get all this doneHe did not seem to want to help his customers
Bo came to the property the next day or so and from the very start, ignored me, talked over both my husband and I, put us down, dismissed our claims, and even told us there was "nothing wrong with the house," that "it would be an easy fix!" He seemed to have no respect for our claims, for the property we were living on, and actually threw the Pine View catalog down towards me on his way looking around, when we were showing him where it had actually been sold to us AS A TINY HOUSEHe of course dismissed this as well, telling us we should "be more careful next time you buy something," that "these are not tiny houses, they are storage buildings, and they don't come fully built like you thought they would, Miss," as if I was too stupid to know, that duh, I had bought a shell of a building without realizing it! Shoot, as far as Bo W*** was concerned, I was so stupid as a woman that I thought I had bought a fully furnished house! I vividly remember the day I bought it, how Jimmy W*** had sold it to me, joking that the flowers in the picture came with itI could feel him making fun of me then, just as I felt Bo making fun of me nowWomen sure are dumb aren't they, Pine View? I told him to get off our property, and to know damn well we wanted ALL of our money back and wanted this piece of crap goneHe seemed to tuck his tail between his legs and flee, saying, "I think I need to leave." How dare he talk the way he did to my husband and I? He did it to both of us, and even my mother saw it all, how disrespectful this guy was"I've worked at this company for years," he spoke condescendingly, making it known that he knew so much more about construction than my husband did (my husband does a hell of a lot better job at his construction job, I'll tell you that)
A couple days later, Candace called, telling us she was sorry, and for us to call her backWhen I called her back, no matter what line I tried to reach her at, it was cut offIt was obvious to me they did not want to talk to us or help us, but they sure enjoyed treating us like crap and ripping us offI was madI called over times, each time getting static when I tried to leave a messageIt looked very sketchy to me, even more so nowBut hell, everything about this company was sketchy to us from the beginning, and we'd only dealt with them for an entirety of months! I had no fear, just sarcastic laughter and angerI told that woman she could go ahead and make my day, because I already have TWO felonies under my belt, ladyAt that point she probably realized just how serious I was, that they werent taking that building without my money back or a fightIt's one thing to rip us off, and then another to threaten usI told her to bring it onShe tried to say she wasnt threatening me, and I told her yes she wasAt that point we ended the phone call, myself seething and being ready for the fight they wanted to bring, whatever that may beAnd
her saying again, that she would try to "solve this problem." When she finally called back, she told me that the day they picked up the building, the delivery guy would have the $check in his hand to give to meI told them that it better beI was thinking in my head, I am not playing games, Pine View
When the pick up guy came the following week, he pulled up in our yard fiercely, and saying nothing, got out of his truck, handed the check roughly to my husband as I was inside taking care of the children, and then proceeded to retrieve Pine View's precious buildingHe tore up some of the cinder blocks I had raked over $in cash for, and even slammed the door shut in the building, which made the door completely fall off the frame and just hang from itHe seemed like another jerk, but I'd say that just about everybody who works for Pine View isMy husband and I sat and watched him take the building (not even having it secured all the way onto the truck), and then speed off down the bumpy drivewayMy husband said, that as violent as his driving was down the driveway, he would have laughed if that stupid building had fallen off and broken into pieces
I havent heard one word from the company since, and I hope I never do againThe moral of the story is this: Dont buy from Pine View BuildingsI repeat; DONT BUY FROM PINE VIEW BUILDINGSSave your money for something that's actually worth it!

Company uses third party to do their accounting and billing but they cannot themselves provide any financial information Ordered a repossession on building at our property do substantial damage to our property and entered the property through locked gate cannot even verify what is owed on the building or whether it is delinquent no due date on the contract and no contact information for the driver No one ever answers the phone number given online for the business to discuss issues Building is full of customer belongings and have no access to them

My husband purchased a barn building with a garage package we both are very happy everyone we delt with was very professional from the salesman to the delivery driver will be recommending pine view to all our family and friends Thank you pine view for treating us like family!!!
