Pinehurst Resort

Unauthorized charge of $266.37 on my card after paying 236.63 and receiving a $0.00 balance receipt.I checked out of resort on 12/6/2015 after paying my balance due of $236.63 and receiving $0.00 balance due receipt. The next day I discovered that my account had a negative balance. When zi checked my account I discovered that there was an additional charge of $266.37 on my card from the resort. Iwas not notified at anytime of this charge nor did I authorize it. It has been pending on my account for 5 days and the only explanation I received after 2 phone cals and 2 emails was that it was just in case I charged something after checking out. This is not a fair business practice and I think it may be considered fraud. They has gad the use of my funds for 5 days but I have not. When they questioned this with one of the agents working here, they were incorrectly informed of the purpose for the authorization. I spoke with the guest and explained the actual reason the authorization was placed against the account and advised that it would drop off within a few days. The guest was completely satisfied with my response and I have spoken with my agent to ensure they understand how to explain such things to future guests.
