They lost a fax if my personal insurance card.Firstly, I have been receiving bills for the last two months in regards to a miscarriage I had in early October of 2015 which has caused me grief and sadness of constantly having to be reminded of that period in my life. Secondly, when I received the most recent bill, I called to update my insurance information and [redacted] told me I needed to fax a copy of my health ins. card. When I told her I did not have a fax and could not get to one, but would gladly email it to her, she said "I don't give out my personal email." I then called [redacted] and spoke with a woman named [redacted] who faxed two copies to the office. [redacted] called me this afternoon at 1630 (a full 24 hours later) to tell me she never received the faxes. I gave her the 800 number for [redacted] and she said she would on tact them tomorrow. Now my personal health insurance card is floating around somewhere due to the unorganized incompetence of this office. I want to know why they have such a slow billing system, why they don't have professional emails for this situation, and why my information is now unaccounted for. We asked for a copy of the card or the specific information regarding her coverage so her appropriate insurance could be billed. ** was contacted directly by Pinehurst Surgical to request a copy of the card. But as we all recall, ** has had their issues with card issuances pertaining to most of their plans, so we never received the fax. This does not mean that the patient's information went elsewhere, it means ** never faxed us the information. ** apologize for this confusion but keep in mind it is the patient's responsibility to know and understand their health insurance coverage. We since have received the correct information and entered it into our System so the correct insurance can be billed accordingly.
