A headstone was ordered from Mr.XXXXXXXX, June 6, for my husband's grave which is in Pinelawn Memorial Park As of today, Pinelawn Memorial Park will not accept the granite only headstone without some bronze on it MrXXXXXX presented me with the option, acceptable to MrXXXXXX, to add bronze plates over the first and last names only on the headstone at an additional charge of $for two scrolls, a third scroll paid by Lincoln Memorial plus $fee MrXXXXXX, XXXXX, is saying that since the plot of four graves was started with two bronze headstones, a follow-thru of bronze is required on that plot although both granite and bronze are acceptable and have been seen on other plots If both granite and bronze are acceptable on these surrounding plots, what difference does it make whether granite or bronze was used first? A granite only headstone was ordered and paid in full by me June 6, and approved by MrXXXXXX  I have been put in the middle of this feud

I've attached a copy of the Time Limited Offer that was presented to us when we came in seeking a plot for my son. My wife indicated she wanted to be buried next to [redacted], Jr. That prompted Pinelawn to give us the attached offer. They showed us two plots with at least two side by side openings to accommodate. They offered us the Limited Time Offer at that time. I feel they tried taking advantage of our sorrow. They knew we were cemetery shopping and may be considering other cemeteries. Now they are claiming we were mistaken because we were grieving. This is not true. We reject their response.

had to make arrangements for his burial. It looks like Mr. [redacted] may have attached a copy of our Time Limited Offer, but I have also attached one which clearly states that this program only applies to preplanning.  It is a way to encourage other family members to take care of their cemetery spaces after one of their loved ones dies.   We do not discount any prices when a death takes place. When Mr. & Mrs. [redacted]’s son passed away, this program was introduced to them because they both wanted to be buried next to him.  The location of their son’s burial was determined after many visits and appointments and they decided on that location because there were three spaces in a row, which would allow them all to be buried together.  The Time Limited Offer was introduced to them as a special incentive for them to purchase those additional spaces next to their son.  It would allow one of the two of them to receive a free space with the purchase of a second one;  this applies for spaces outside of the one they needed for the immediate death that took place.  With that program, they would then have three spaces together; two of which they paid full price for and one that was free, as a part of this program.  The $3770 that the [redacted]’s paid were fees for their son’s burial expenses and these are required before we can perform any burials.   It had nothing to do with validating the offer.   If you have further questions, please call me at either of the numbers below.   Thank you.[redacted], ccetel [redacted]

Review: On August 5, 2015 our son [redacted], Jr. passed away. We went to various cemeteries to compare prices and decided that Pinelawn presented the best offer called: "Time Limited Form". It states in pertinent part: "You are entitled to receive, without cost your choice of an internment space with the purchase of the adjoining space at the regular price plus a one time assessment for endowment care." See attached. They advised us that payment in the amount of $3,770 must be paid by August 12, 2015 for the offer to be valid. On August 12, 2015 we paid the full amount. Ms. Kelly Pretty Pinelawn Family Services Counselor and Sales Manager agreed that she made the offer to us. However, at our next meeting to purchase the headstone, we discussed securing the adjoining plot next to [redacted], Jr., as per the "Time Limited Offer", they denied the offer and said that we misunderstood. We contacted them in person and in writing to try and obtain our free adjoining space. They again suggested we misunderstood.Desired Settlement: We request that Pinelawn honor their "Time Limited Offer" which states we are entitled to, without cost, the interment space next to [redacted], Jr.
