Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a
close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
Regards,
*** *** *** *** The invoice is a fraud. When contacting Cooper Electric, they said they couldn't do the repair and we used (and paid) a different company. The alleged work was done by a man yet this invoice is obviously written by a female

January 28, 2016Cincinnati Revdex.com Attn.; Ms. [redacted] 7 West 7th Street, Suite 1600 Cincinnati, Ohio 45202Ref: Complaint ID [redacted]Dear Ms. [redacted],Please be advised that Cooper Electric is in receipt of the above...

referenced complaint from Ms. [redacted]. Also please find attached a copy of the Cooper Electric Job Work Order [redacted] which gives all of the details of the work involved with this complaint.Additionally, please reference on our Job Work Order [redacted] in the box starting with the word DIAGNOSTIC that Ms. [redacted] has signed her name after the statement I HAVE BEEN QUOTED DIAGNOSTIC RATES. Also please note on the bottom of Job Work Order [redacted] the signature of Ms. [redacted] in the signature box under the statement (I hereby acknowledge the satisfactory completion of the above described work).I would like to start by personally apologizing to Ms. [redacted] for anything that Cooper Electric has done to prompt this complaint to the Cincinnati Revdex.com.However, I am somewhat perplexed by her complaint because we fixed her electrical problem, and when she complained about the charges for the time we spent in her home we deducted $45.00 from the invoice. This was done even though Ms. [redacted] had signed her name to our Job Work Order that signified that she had agreed to our rates and the fact that we charge by the V3 hour.On the Revdex.com form for her complaint under the section titled Desired Settlement Ms. [redacted] stated "I will like to know, if this practice is legal? Can a company, charge you extra, just to write up a bill or invoice?" The answer to this question is a very simple YES. If you do not believe this please feel free to check with the Attorney General of the State of Ohio. Cooper Electric complies with all consumer laws in the City of Cincinnati, Hamilton County, and the State of Ohio. The bill or invoice is a critically important part of the overall transaction. It forms the basis of the contract between the customer and Cooper Electric. It becomes a permanent record of what was done on the job. Every consumer supporter in the market place would advocate for written agreements. It is obvious that on Time and Material jobs contractors are entitled to charge for the time it takes to complete the bill or invoice. Please keep in mind that even though Cooper Electric was entitled to charge for the time it took to write up the bill or invoice we acquiesced to Ms. [redacted]'s wishes and deducted $45.00 from her charges.Sincerely,Cooper Electric[redacted]. 11 January 2015Cincinnati Revdex.com7 West ih Street, Suite 1600Cincinnati, OH 45202Ref: Revdex.com Complaint #[redacted]Dear Mr. [redacted],Please be advised that Cooper Electric is in receipt of the above referenced complaint from Ms. [redacted].First, I would like to personally...

apologize to Ms. [redacted] for any perceived lack of courtesy when she called our office to bring this matter to our attention.  Second, I would also like to apologize to Ms. [redacted] for any mess that was not cleaned up when our workers left the job.Third, Ms. [redacted] is correct that our original contract dated March 27, 2013 included the cost of the electrical permit and inspection fees. However, after the work was completed the customer did not reply to numerous calls left on their phone answering machine trying to schedule the electrical inspection, and the electrical permit Cooper Electric had taken out expired. On October 2, 2014 Mr. [redacted] called our office inquiring about the status of the electrical permit and inspection. Our service manager Mr. [redacted] informed Mr. [redacted] that the permit had expired due to their lack of action, and a new permit would have to be taken out. Mr. [redacted] also informed Mr. [redacted] that there would be a charge of $73.23 since the permit we had included in the original cost of the job had expired. Mr. [redacted] agreed to pay $73.23 for the cost of the new permit. Cooper Electric took out the new permit, and the electrical inspection was completed on October 23.2014. Subsequently we forwarded to Mr. [redacted] a copy of the Final Certificate of Approval form the Inspection Bureau, Inc., and our invoice number 52304 in the amount of $73.23 which was the net cost of the electrical permit and electrical inspection. Nothing was added to the invoice for handling the matter for a second time.Respectfully Submitted,John H. Cooper electrical Contracting CO.[redacted]
