Matt at Pineview was a pleasure to work withI had a leak in my roof and needed to have somebody look at itSince there was snow on the roof nobody wanted the liability of getting up on the roofMatt to the rescue! I've never submitted a review to the Revdex.com, but I was soooooo pleasantly surprised by Pineview Builders that I felt I had to tell the world about them. If you're looking for an ethical company that does quality work then read this review.
I obtained bids from 5 different contractors regarding siding and roofing my 2 rental duplex's. Pineview Builders were the 2nd cheapest bid I received and I chose them because I felt like I could trust the owner of the business, Matt, and because the quality of the siding shingles they showed me were the best quality. The owner of Pineview Builders, Matt, helped me choose the right siding and shingles for my 2 homes.
The workers completed the job in a timely manner and the quality of the work was excellent!!! They were super friendly workers and I even served them lunch on the last day of the job because they were sooo nice! In fact, I would call the work they did craftsmanship! You should see how nice my 2 duplex's look now! They are the 2 nicest looking duplex's on [redacted] in St Paul (near [redacted] and it's all because, Matt, from Pineview Builders helped me choose the best looking combination of siding and shingles for my home.
As an owner of rental properties, I've dealt with myriad contractors who are guilty of bait and switch tactics and other unetheical business practices. However, that's another one of the great things about Pineview Builders. They give you a bid and they do exactly what the bid says they will do for the exact price of the bid.
They sided and roofed 2 of my duplex's and they never once asked for additional money above the original quote! Almost all of the contractors I've ever hired over the years have asked for additional money above and beyond their initial bids because of phantom problems they claim to have encountered after they start the job. But not Pinview Builders, they stick to their original bid!!! So, if you're looking for an ethical contractor, choose Pineview Builders! Not only that, but, the owner of Pineview Builders, Matt, found a couple of other things he thought would improve my duplexs and he did them for free!
Talk about exceeding expectations, Pineview Builders exceeded all of my expectations and then some! Just when I thought their weren't any contractors out their you could trust anymore, Pineview Builders, restored my hope that there are still some good honest contractors who truly care about the work they are doing and who truly care about their customers!
Homeowners in my neighborhood have walked over to my house to compliment me on how great my duplexes look and they all want to know who did the work!
They love the dark brown shingles and the tan siding on my first duplex and the dark gray shingles and the medium gray siding on my other duplex. They asked me who chose the amazing contrasting colors and I tell them it was, Matt, from Pineview Builders.
I wish they would let me post some pictures of my duplexes on here, so you could see how amazing they look. I know you would agree that they are the nicest looking duplexes on [redacted] in St Paul.

Last fall we had [redacted] from Pineview Builders come take a look at our house for storm damage after a hail storm went through our neighborhood last August. After he throughly inspected the property he told us that there was hail damage to our roof but we should wait until the spring to make a claim because it will make the insurance claim process go smoother. We had the adjuster come out and [redacted] met with him. They inspected the property together and when they were done the adjuster gave us the same report that [redacted] told us about in the fall. The adjuster said that there was just enough damage to merit full replacement and that it probably helped waiting until spring to see the damage because it only gets worst with time.
Once we received the paperwork and the first check from the insurance company [redacted] scheduled the roof project for the following week. He took the time to make sure that we choose the right shingle color for our roof. We couldn't decided between two colors even after [redacted] brought out larger samples of each of them. He then found two houses nearby that had each of the colors on them, fortunatly they were next door to each other just up the road. Once we saw them on an actual house it was very easy to pick the right one.
On the day of the project the crew showed up and got right to work. They replaced the roof and a dingy old skyilght in a single day. Our home looks much nicer with the new shingles and we are happy that [redacted] took the time to make sure we choose the right color.
We loved working with [redacted] and are exited to work with him on our next project. We would recommend Pineview Builders without hesitation, and we have!
The whole project looks wonderful. The team arrived first thing in the morning and worked till the big job was completed. They worked diligently throughout the day. I was very pleased throughout the whole process. [redacted] was a pleasure to work with and I was so glad he was here to work with the insurance adjuster.
