Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] I am being asked to pay to have a vehicle that does not run towed at my expense to allow moore service to see what the propblem is and then let me know how much they will charge me to fixI sent documents showing oil changes and other repair work and outlined the times it was on the rack at moore service and told no major leaks and then taken to another shop to be told it has major leaksWe have been talking to Chrysler Corp also and it seems that they are just answering with a scripted responseThe question we asked was for Chrysler Corp to allow Moore to tow the van in and verify the engine is blownI already have it sitting at my personal mechanic and he told me it needs a new engineI know the cost of this is why no company wants to take the lead and will fight the customer and blame it all on them to avoid the expenseWe have asked to be given documentation stating the facts behind what must be done by the owner in order to maintain a working warrantyChrysler Corp refused to send us any information about the warrantyWe have questions that could be answered, but are not getting anyIs doing an oil change on your own void a warranty? What is the exact mileage between oil changes that voids a warranty? We asked to get a response that states these answers and have yet to get that informationWe are still requesting this information and a free tow which is under the warranty

To whom it may concern: Ms [redacted] vehicle was at Moore Chrysler Jeep's service department on December 12, We did an oil change, but the vehicle was not washed since it was raining that day Ms [redacted] took her vehicle, but returned shortly after leaving claiming we had cracked her left front window The crack is in an area that the right light and right angle are required to even notice it exists There were no signs of impact to the window We have also been contacted by [redacted] [redacted] , as she opened an insurance claim to repair the window on her vehicle The trim piece she feels is damaged is a an overlap point and is positioned normally for her vehicle Moore Chrysler Jeep would be willing to photograph the affected area and submit the claim to Jeep for possible warranty coverage If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us Thank you Matt M [redacted] Moore Chrysler Jeep

They offered me a 50% discount on my next visit totally unacceptableI told them if they want to spilt the difference I would take dollars and call it fair they basically told me were I could goI personally talked to Matt Moore so we are no were at this timeI did not authorize them to fix The Intake Manifold I ask them to fix the growling noise in my engine.WHICH WAS THE TIME CHAIN TENSIONERS WHICH THEY KNEW WERE THE PROBLEM THEY LIED YOU MEFOR ALL I KNOW THEY COULD HAVE DAMAGED THE INTAKE MANIFOLD TO COVER UP THE OTHER PROBLEMI FEEL NOW THEY DID THIS TO HAVE ME PAY MORE MONEY ON SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED FOR FREE BECAUSE THEY KNEW OF THE PROBLEM

June 13, 2017The Revdex.comEMissouri AvenuePhoenix, Arizona 85014-RE: *** *** #***To Whom It May Concern:Moore Chrysler Jeep received and diagnosed Mr***’s Chrysler on January 12, Mr*** had complained of a growling noise from the engine at idleThe technician that performed the work met with Mr*** prior to commencing any workThe intake manifold noise was verified with a mechanic’s stethoscope prior to performing any workThe bleeder housing coolant leak was also pointed out to Mr*** at that timeOur technician knew that additional problems could exist as the growling noise required special tools to locateThis was all explained to Mr*** prior to him authorizing the workThe work we completed was verified with the customer present and authorized before any work was startedThe technician went further to explain that any additional noise that may be present after fixing the verifiable noise would require “exploratory surgery” At the time of our inspection the engine had a leak at the intake manifold that was obvious and determinableWe recommended replacement of the manifold and a leaking bleeder housing which Mr*** authorized repairing.Timing chain issues and noises are not commonplace or recognized by Chrysler under any technical bulletins or recalls for the Chrysler with the 2.7L engineThis dealership has not seen problems with the timing chain on this engineMr*** keeps referring to a “known” problemThe 5.7L engine does have a recall on the timing chainThis is a completely different engine configuration from the 2.7L engine that Mr***’s car runs onThis is not comparing same or even similar vehicle configurationMr*** might as well suggest that Ford recalls apply to his Chrysler.After returning the vehicle to Mr***, he called the service advisor stating he had a continuing noiseHe elected to have further repairs completed at another facility Moore Chrysler Jeep does not issue recalls, nor do we make warranty policy for the manufacturer of the vehicleThere are no recalls, warranty extensions or other warranty authorizations pertaining to the timing chain noise Mr*** had repaired at another facilityFurther, we have no service bulletins or additional technical information relating to the timing chain for a Chrysler There is no additional coverage we can obtain and efforts have been made through Chrysler’s appeal process.As a gesture of goodwill and with respect to Mr***’s past business, Moore Chrysler Jeep will provide a $in store credit to Mr***This credit has no expiration and may be used for any of the products and services Moore Chrysler Jeep provides.If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us My e-mail: ***@mooreauto.com or call ###-###-####Sincerely, Matt M*** Moore Chrysler Jeep

I Have also been contacted by the director of the service department Dustin s*** that has informed me that if jeep will not make the repairs to the window that Moore jeep will be responsible for other alternative solutions on making sure the window glass is repaired

Mr*** brought his vehicle to us with diagnostic and repair work that had already been performed by him and another repair facilities. He requested that we replace his Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Mr*** military service entitled him to a discount, which
we provided. The PCM was replaced, yet a problem still existed with the vehicle. The camshaft and crankshaft position sensors also needed to be replaced. The camshaft and crankshaft position sensors had already been replaced prior to Mr*** visit to Moore. The old, original PCM was causing the multiple sensor failure. Brand new sensors failing on multiple occasions indicate that there is a problem beyond the sensors themselves. We replaced the PCM and did not realize that the old PCM had already shorted the new sensors internally and allowed Mr*** to pick up the vehicle. After a reoccurrence of the problem, Mr*** purchased another new set of sensors from us and installed them himself. The problem has not returned. The PCM fixed the issue, the sensors were a product of the bad computer module. As a gesture of goodwill, Moore has offered to refund Mr*** $600.00, approximately half of the PCM repair cost. Mr*** did not feel the service was adequate and in an effort to accommodate his concerns we offered this adjustment.Sincerely,*** ***Service DirectorMoore Chrysler Jeep/Subaru

We have done nothing wrong concerning Mr. [redacted] vehicle.  Moore Chrysler Jeep received and diagnosed Mr. [redacted] 2010 Chrysler 300 on January 12, 2017.  Mr. [redacted] has complained of a growling noise from the engine at idle.  At the time of our inspection, the engine had a leak...

at the intake manifold that was obvious and determinable.  We recommended replacement of the manifold and a visible leaking bleeder housing which Mr. [redacted] authorized repairing. At this time, we are trying to negotiate a goodwill settlement with Mr. [redacted].  We hope to have some form of resolution by next week.  We will keep you informed as to how this will be settled.

Bank of the West that Mr. [redacted] had paid off his car loan as of October 30th, 2016 and they would be mailing the check back to us.  On November 22, 2016 we reissued a check in the amount of $2,819.63 to Mr. [redacted] and mailed.We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused Mr. [redacted] and hope that this has satisfied his complaint. Sincerely,Matt M[redacted]Owner
