We are a small family owned and operated business in Louisville and have been successfully operating with the same return and exchange policy for for over yearsThis policy (fully pictured in the attached *** is clearly posted for all to see, which reads in bold "Stewart's Pawn Shop does not offer any warranty for lost stones or damage done to jewelry once purchased" and "we do not offer refunds under any circumstance", as well as being noted on the customers receipt reading "All sales final No refunds"These are pretty standard policies for a pawn shop, where consumers are looking for a bargain, and we are able to give customers the opportunity to purchase beautiful jewelry at extreme discount prices because they do not have to pay for the expensive warranties that high end jewelry stores offerWith all of this being said, we still do our best to honor our jewelry, and repair damages done to jewelry purchased from us at discounted pricesWe offered for our customer to bring in the ring so we could inspect it and see what the damages were, but she is unable to do so being in CaliforniaThe customer was requesting to ship the ring to us for repair, but as explained on the phone, it is against store policy to deal with the shipping of jewelry as there are too many variables in the situation that can go wrong (lost in shipping, arriving in different conditions than described, etc.)It was then suggested that the ring be mailed to a close friend or family member who would be responsible for the shippingThe response given to this was that she did not have anyone local she could trustAfter discussing how to attempt to provide a solution for several minutes the customer then stated that she would just mail the ring to friend who would then bring it in for a refundThis contradicts what was previously said about not knowing anyone local and trustworthy, as well as our policy of all sales final, no refundsSo at the end of the day, we would be happy to inspect and repair the ring for the customer, but the shipping option is not viable one through our company[redacted]

not offer any warranty for lost stones or damage done to jewelry once purchased" and "we do not offer refunds under any circumstance", as well as being noted on the customers receipt reading "All sales final  No refunds". These are pretty standard policies for a pawn shop, where consumers are looking for a bargain, and we are able to give customers the opportunity to purchase beautiful jewelry at extreme discount prices because they do not have to pay for the expensive warranties that high end jewelry stores offer. With all of this being said, we still do our best to honor our jewelry, and repair damages done to jewelry purchased from us at discounted prices. We offered for our customer to bring in the ring so we could inspect it and see what the damages were, but she is unable to do so being in California. The customer was requesting to ship the ring to us for repair, but as explained on the phone, it is against store policy to deal with the shipping of jewelry as there are too many variables in the situation that can go wrong (lost in shipping, arriving in different conditions than described, etc.). It was then suggested that the ring be mailed to a close friend or family member who would be responsible for the shipping. The response given to this was that she did not have anyone local she could trust. After discussing how to attempt to provide a solution for several minutes the customer then stated that she would just mail the ring to friend who would then bring it in for a refund. This contradicts what was previously said about not knowing anyone local and trustworthy, as well as our policy of all sales final, no refunds. So at the end of the day, we would be happy to inspect and repair the ring for the customer, but the shipping option is not viable one through our company.[redacted]
